thrift_attic Hello Tiffany. I had a question that might be weird. But I am just curious. How do you sell your authentic items to make sure you’re not getting scammed? I just had a sale on a LV wallet over 500 but Im so nervous that they could make false accusations that either i didn’t send the item or request a refund but never send it back if they do and so on. I hope this is okay to ask. Just looked and noticed you make a lot of high end luxury sales and was looking for some advice.

tagam1 @marivasile13 this is actually a great question ❤️ I have gotten in the habit of recording the packing of my higher priced items. I take photos of the item before it’s packed alongside the shipping label and how it looks in the box and also of the label on the box once it’s sealed. I have had some scammers along the years. If the buyer reports something to posh authentication it’s not your problem anymore. If it past the verification on their end you are in the clear. I hope that helps ☺️

Have you ever had the person NOT return the item if they claim let’s say it’s not to the accurate description? Cause from my research if they can prove it’s not as described then they can return the product. But what if they don’t return the actual product? Or does their returned product go back to Poshmark headquarters too before coming back to me?

tagam1 @marivasile13 i think legally if they claim its not an authentic brand product. Like a fake LV (even if you know its real) its on you to prove its authentic. I sold a jacket that was chanel Vintage and the buyer claimed was fake and i knew it was authentic but she got a “letter” confirming it wasn’t. E b a y took my money she kept the jacket because fake items cant be mailed in US mail. It taught me that i should get my items authenticated before i ship if its a very pricey item.
