Maltese Cross Brooch, "HAR" Brooch, Vintage Hargo Brooch

Edwardian Design Maltese Cross Brooch. Made with Green Enamel, Green Crystal and Simulated Sparkling Diamond Accent Rhinestones. This Elusive Brooch is a Timeless Collector Piece. The Cross is signed "HAR" by the designer. Jewelry marked "HAR" has long been a mystery to collectors and dealers. During my research I found an article that said, The"HAR" mark was owned by Hargo Creations in New York. Joseph Heibronner and Edith Levitt founded Hargo in 1955. Heibronner was born in 1893 in Munich, Germany, became a U.S. citizen in 1948 and married Edith Levitt in 1952. The "HAR" mark was probably first used beginning in 1955. Joseph died in August of 1968, which is probably why Hargo jewelry can't be found past 1967. Measurements: Approx 2.5" by 2.5" Please also see photos.
