myalohais @janelle_quinn, I'd say it's true to size. Fabric had a good weight & drape and the spandex allows for stretch.

myalohais @janelle_quinn, definitely it would be OK on L, for M it may be cut a little large or low on the arms holes. At least that is what I usually find when trying to size down. Maybe OK if you're busty or shorten the straps. I'm sure it could be professionally altered. Hope that helps.
