Marimekko Kihlatasku “Happy” coat dress, size xs

CONSIGNED!!! Delightful mini dress version of the classic Marimekko Iloinen Takki “happy” coat dress, purchased from TRR. Despite its seemingly roomy measurements this piece has no stretch and, devastatingly for me, was too tight through the shoulders. I’m a solid 34 or 36 and didn’t realize this piece was a 32 until I received it in the mail - my mistake is your gain! Hoping to recoup the purchase cost to find a replacement 🤞 can add photos if requested. The story of creation of this dress design is a sweet one: Vuokko Nurmesniemi got engaged to architect Antti Nurmesniemi, and she designed a dress where her new fiancé could leave little notes and and other small surprises in the small, cute colorful pockets of the dress where children could find them. It's known as the Iloinen Takki “Happy” or “Cheery” coat, or by its original name: Kihlatasku. It is made from pure cotton fabric in a loose fit style with metal silver button front closure.
