Ally is my 8 months old kitten, she been sick since October. She has a hard time walking and can’t play like a kitten should. Ally’s first vet visit was in October when she started walking different. The doctor thought it was a virus, so we got meds for that. Unfortunately Ally hasn’t gotten better. She has gotten worse this week. Ally’s test results came back the other day. Her liver enzymes were extremely high. The doctor said high level is 100, and ally’s were over 400. Any purchases help TY

krau623 Hello. My name is Karen. I am sooo very sorry to hear about your kitten. I just recently lost my Benjamin. He was 2 years old and was battling the exact same liver issues. He was sick when I adopted him as a baby and unfortunately never recovered. I feel blessed for the time I had him. I pray your baby is cured. gypsypicker2007 @krau623 they are thinking it’s a liver shunt. He goes to today to get that test done. She walks like she’s drunk and is now blind😢 the doctor thinks she was born this way.

Poor thing was starving this morning and she wasn’t allowed to eat or drink anything. They did say they will feed her after the first test.

gypsypicker2007 Update on Ally: We didn't get good news for ally😢 the doctor said everything points to a liver stunt which means the toxins are not leaving her body. She said she is declining fast. The next step is an ultrasound and visit at the surgeons. That would be $600-$900 for that. And if it can be fixed by surgery it would be around $4,400 , I'm so lost and heartbroken 😭

Unfortunately they couldn’t save him. My prayers are always with Ally. I feel so sad. GOD bless you both!!! I am truly sorry. ❤️

greenbaypackers Hi:) Keep the faith. You have a lot of love out there for you and Ally. I know you don't have much time to figure out what to do, but do you have a vet school at all by you? I work for a university & we are blessed with one & sometimes they have different ideas on treatment because they are exposed to far more than a regular vet & do so much training on a daily basis. And sometimes the costs of treatment are reduced. It might be something to look into. Sending hugs & love!!!

gypsypicker2007 Update on Ally: She’s not doing good at all. She can’t walk anymore 😢 I took her back to the vet yesterday and they gave her more meds to try. They want to give it 3 days to see if there is any improvements. I can’t even function at this point

gypsypicker2007 I’m so sorry I haven’t updated. Ally completely stopped walking. We were at the Emergency vet almost all day yesterday. We are trying another medication. I pray this one shows some improvement. It has a little so far. Thanks everyone for all the prayers.❤️

greenbaypackers OMG!!! That's wonderful!!! I'm so happy to hear that!!!! It brings a tear, but in a happy way of course!!!! Having experienced taking care of two sick dogs, I know the trauma and that's exactly what it is. So hard when they can't talk to you either, but Ally doing better is the best!!! Can she walk yet?

When we had to make the decision on our last 2 dogs 🐶, Hollie & Rachel, it was devastating. Both were sick & we did what we could, but in the end we had to let them go to Heaven.

greenbaypackers @nicoleseal Oh I'm so sorry Dear. What happened? My mom had to put her dog Saide down on Sat. night & it was terrible. Feel horrible for my mom, the dog, etc. Miss her horribly. She was so good. Rescued. Had a great life w/my parents. In the end, she developed a degenerative muscle ailment, seizures, possible lupus, possible tumor & we think a stroke. Heartbreaking.

gypsypicker2007 @greenbaypackers oh no poor baby😞 Orion got pretty sick. He lost the color in his nose an ears. I took him to the vet and he tested positive for leukemia. I had to take my other 7 cats to get them tested last week. They all tested negative, they go back again in a few months to get retested. It’s been a horrible nightmare.
