hollygkim @dragonfly1108 wow! Your so beautiful 😍 love dragonflies too! It's crazy how we're going about our lives and bam! Something like this hits us like a brick wall! 29 surgeries? Bless your heart! I'm lying here in pain since 3am but now I feel as if I'm "fortunate" to have "my" diseases! There is another lady on here that just came out of the hospital and I'm not sure what she has, but it's genetic related. She is in her mid/late 20's I believe and has had about 20 too! I pray that they find a cure so your suffering will end soon 😍 if you would like, I have a support chat on my closet under the "Fibro Fighters" chat purple logo. But several others have joined with other diseases and it's good to talk/vent when you need a friend 24/7💜 sending positive healing energy your way! Hugs ...Holly💜

dragonfly1108 @hollygkim Thank you so very much for your kind words. I am so sorry to hear that you are fighting Fibro...funny thing is, is that is part of my diagnosis as well. I have Genetic Disease called Dyskerastosis Congenita. It primarily is diagnosed for men during their teens, which is what happened in my sons case. He was 15 when he got sick and has been dealt every blow from 2 strokes, to cardiac problems, to feeding tube placements, to neurological issues..Seizures etc. But in women it usually presents in the 40's to 50's and bones issues are usually the first symptoms. In the case of men, life expectancy is usually in the mid 20's..too young : ( but for me, I have to fight every battle and survive those. I have had so many surgeries to replace both knees, spinal surgeries to TRY and fix my discs that are literally crushing into pieces as if I were in a traumatic car accident( I went to the ER with severe back pain one night and they wanted to know when my accident was, etc.) I explained there was no accident and all that happened was I stood up. They said my MRI looked like someone who had so much trauma in their spine, they don't see it that bad unless it's a major trauma. I had bone fragments in my spinal canal. It took 10 hrs to remove all the damage from 2 discs that had broken up into pieces....CRAZY have been cut in half to repair internal damage, etc. Only 300 people (maybe a few more by now) have been diagnosed worldwide. I am a patient at the National Institute of Health and the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. I suffer from Chronic Shingles. Again, something that is rarely seen. I have broken out almost every month for 4 years now. The pain from the neuropathy is insane. So I have a whole mess load of other issues that would take a day to type. ..lol..but I believe in getting up and smiling, rather than curling up in a ball and crying...yes, it has been difficult. There are loads of things I will never do again, but I am alive and breathing. So I thank God every day, take an incredible amount of medications and do what I can do...I will progressively get worse. If I get an infection that my body can't fight, that can kill me. This disease causes bone marrow failure in 95% of its victims...my son has been in failure for a few years now. We undergo bone marrow biopsies every 6 months or so to keep track. We cannot have a BMR because this disease is genetic and although the replacement may help for a period of time, the rejection rate is so high it will most likely kill us and because it's genetic it could last 3 months, 9 months or 3 years, but because it cannot cure us, it's considered a waste. Every patient presents different. Noone has the same symptoms, etc. But as I said I have other things going on as well. I have a rare form of Narcolepsy. I fall asleep instantaneously if I lay down. If I sit to watch tv, I am asleep in less than 15 to 30 seconds. Anytime I sit, lay, etc I will start to fall asleep. I take medications to keep me wake during the day, but at night I have a difficult time sleeping because of other medications that keep me awake. ..can not win....lol... but like you said, there are always people who are much worse of than me. So I pray for EVERYONE !!! I have 3 amazing kids. They are 22, 20 and 17. So they are off to college and working, generally living their lives. So now to stay busy I play on Poshmark...I try to stick within a budget, but that rarely happens. ..lol... I am a jewelry , handbag and cosmetic junkie....LOL !! hollygkim @dragonfly1108 I worked in hospital for 14 years! I have a pretty wide knowledge of most illnesses , but this one is new to me! I understand the back issue! Wow! You must have been in some major pain😳 I have degenerative disc disease in my spine so chronic pain from that! But what you describe is what I have on steroids😱 I can't even imagine how bad that was! Most of my pain comes from my spine/hips! I got tested for Vit D levels and my first result was 5😳 I still take 50k units twice a month but it's now up to 25😄 it felt like my "bones ached" when I first started it...it was like getting a shot of morphine! dragonfly1108 @hollygkim too funny I too am on Vit D2. I take 1.25 (50,000 UNITS) MON. WEDS. FRI. ...my last level was 8. My bones are those of an 80 yr old woman they said...lol...both knees have been replaced, 8 spinal surgeries, 2 failed attempts to implant an electrical stimulator because of my narrowing of my canal...I have had meningitis twice because of all the spinal taps introducing bacteria into my spinal canal. I just had to have several blood patches...because I was leaking spinal fluid. ..could taste it......had to lay flat in bed for almost a week so the blood would clot in the leaks...NICE, huh...lol ...got to love it !!!

Well hold on, it's a long story, so I will give you the abbreviated version....I was discharged from the hospital on Jan. 20....I spent 3 1/2 weeks in the hospital...1 week in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit in a coma. I am doing ok, but I have a ways to go yet. I never thought in my wildest dreams that that I would have a couple subarachnoid hemorrages, a stroke and a heart attack. Apparently it was caused by a disease that I have had my entire life. It's called Fibro Muscular Dysplasia. Also, it showed that I have Prolonged QT syndrome along with my regular diagnosis...lol..it's crazy, but I am very thankful I have few side effects that I will have to deal with. My vision is very blurry and I have almost no peripheral vision. My left side is weaker than the right, etc...The coolest part was I was airlifred to a hospital 45 min away , but since I was in a coma I do not remember it...DARN !!! but that's enough about me...what's new with you ?....I am hoping to feel well enough to get new items posted..how have sales been for you ? I sold a few things in the last couple of weeks. I have so many things to post it's crazy... I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year's....so please let me know what's new...it has to be more exciting than what I did...best wishes sweetheart !!!!

I t was probably funny to watch, but I landed on my right side knocking the wind out of me and breaking 3 ribs...talk about embarrassing..lol..so needless to say that I have officially retired from my career as a sprinter and will wait painfully as these ribs heel. I have beautiful bruises and scrapes and pain meds that knock me on my butt..lol.

cjorsdad Hi Tracie, I contacted Poshmark support to get your address to ship the top out to you today, but they did not get back to me until tonight. They will not give me your address and cannot generate a new shipping label. They want you to dispute the order when you get it, ship the top back and then they will let me ship the correct top. I think that’s a lot of work for something I did. Can you send your address to me at Cjorsdad@aol.com so that I can ship you the correct top?

dragonfly1108 @janus660 Thank you so much for your kind words ! It has and is still a battle..but I get up and push through as much as possible. I spent 5 days in the hospital last week because I am still having seizures and total blackouts since my stroke. I have fibromuscular dysphasia that causes the vessels in my brain to thin and narrow..so many other things, but I wake up each day thankful to be alive.

dragonfly1108 @jaimerstone Hi Jaime ! 😊 The lion weighs about 3 lbs..So shipping would stay in the normal range..However, A couple weeks ago I sent an email to PM wanting clarification on a few things..(like books..says Coffee Table Books, but there are so many “regular” books listed) anyway..the email response said no books and remember to keep the packages under 10 lbs !!!! I saved the email..lol..

richmondsrelics I was reading comments. So many of us sick. Whenever I think I’ve got it bad I read of someone worse. It’s a chronic struggle. I have sick kids too. Inherited stuff. It’s good to be able to share your struggles and what you find helps you. It encourages you and the person you’re talking to. Nice to meet you.

My daughter is now 40, but when little, she loved fairies and left them notes at the fairy door on a tree! My granddaughter who is now 21, did the same! We built a fairy house out of all things in our yard. This necklace will go to my daughter, then her niece! 😊💕😘💐
