emcreations @delrosario1328 @delrosario1328 so sweet of you to check in! :) I'm doing great! I've handled this deployment exceptionally well, I'm almost too comfortable living alone haha! It will be an adjustment having him home but I truly cannot wait! We talk daily unless he's on mission which I'm so so thankful for! We only have 2-3 month left to go already! Not sure where the time went!! 😄 but we are also lucky that things are winding down because he was supposed to come back beg of fall and now it's end of June-beg of July! 😍

emcreations @delrosario1328 hahaha! It's so true though! I had a friend here whose husband was deployed before mine and she had me freaked out about the whole thing because she literally went crazy. And so many dwell on it and make themselves depressed. I'm actually really surprised that I'm doing so well with it though because I have PTSD and it was REALLY bad the year and a half before he deployed, and now I'm so independent and doing SO much better! I feel like the deployment had to happen for that reason-to get better and become independent! It's so great and it will def help out marriage with me not being so dependent on him with EVERY little thing because of my "disorder". I guess to survive having a spouse deployed you just have to stay super positive! I always thought "well, 8 months to go is better than 9!" Instead of "oh man it's only been a month :(" it does work! Lol!

It's great to have someone to be dependent on but also great knowing that when you have to, you can make it on your own. You have such a positive out look and 8 months is definitely better than 9!!!!!

genuinely_me @mlevene I completely agree. We always have to remind ourselves of the good we have and not focus on the hard things. Our baby goes to Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital in St Louis. We live two hours away and they are closest hospital equipped for him it's crazy.

genuinely_me @mlevene We are going Florida in June to visit my husbands family, and the hospital had to call nearby hospitals to where we will be to tell them about Elijah "just in case". It's crazy. That's how often he goes in. It hurts to hear about children in such bad positions. I feel for your babies and will think of them often.

mlevene Thank you it's the way here. But I hope you enjoy Florida!! Our little ones or Porter who is 7 now and they his parents he would never see 3. He has a sister with the disease that went undetected for the first two years of her life that cost her dearly, but she is hanging strong and is 4. So just keep doing what your doing technology changes all the time and never listen to a Doctor who says there is no hope. Hope is the one thing you can never run out of!!!!

genuine_luxary @genuinelyme You were in the Army! Uncle Bob was with the 101st KIA on his second tour in Nam, Uncle Junebug (we’re Southern) was with the 24th Infantry KIA on his 1st tour in Korea. Uncle Gary was in the 101st in Desert Storm. My Aunt was an Army nurse for 25 years. That’s just a few Army, every branch has people back to the Revolution War. My (4x) great Uncle was a 4 star General in the Civil War. My only regret is that I never served, but my mom having lost 2 brothers BEGGED me not to.

Grandma had 14 kids and buried 7, two in one year. When I think I’m having a bad day, or something I can’t handle I think of her. How she drew a breath I can not begin to imagine.
