turquoisetart @blissjewelry I'm not a metalsmith like you are, it's more like upcycling. I take vintage Sterling pieces and attach them to vintage belts and add accessories. Silversmithing is on my bucket list!

blissjewelry @turquoisetart I have seen a lot of silver work in my life and career, but not many designs with your panache. There are plenty of silversmiths, but you have the eye to put together beautiful things using silver that jump off the page. I think that is a better skill and a more viable thing. There will always be silversmiths, but what you do is very rare, indeed.

It is definitely a passion of mine and a labor of love born of my admiration of native culture since I was a little girl. My family is all from Canada and my mom has a little birch bark canoe that was probably a Ojibwe made souvenir. Such an interesting culture with the birchbark Scrolls in particular. Definitely a Heritage to be proud of.

One of the names on my finger (WYZE STC) is my best friend who was a well-known graffiti artist in the Sacramento area that passed away in a motorcycle accident years ago. I've always been drawn to the unconventional and strange. Now I just hoard fur friends lol i too, am always on a mission to save something.
