No Square is a small community theatre in Laguna on Legion by the HS. I am not sure how to get any discounts to Pageant; I missed the Memorial Day discount they offered for 20% off :(( We used to get discounts from friends who performed. You might try groupon??

I think I had an aversion to paisley, and did not appreciate scarves at that time.) that I placed over my weighted keyboard. Unfortunately, I hardly utilize it (the keyboard) since I studied Piano II.

My recent turn to songwriting has proved to be very rewarding. Most recently I’ve been inspired by Nomadland. As well as El Matador beach. Most are folky or pop, with one short Jazz class assignment. jkdesigns I was told today that what I have cannot be fixed. All doctors can do is try to keep me comfortable. Eventually I will need surgery. L4 & L5 are most significantly deteriorated. L2 & L3 are on their way too. They will have to do a fusion surgery eventually. It will continue to get worse.

frockhocker @jkdesigns oh that is aweful! I am so so sorry for you. Being told you have to live with it is deflating. I have a fusion at L5 and S1. I am go nu to be needing surgery above that but I’ve put it off in COVID. I know how it can bring your life to screeching halt when there is pain. 😢

jkdesigns @frockhocker I bet you do understand. I am sorry for you too. The exacerbating issue to dissolving discs is the kyphoscoliosis. I feel like I am being wrung out all the time, like a wet shirt. There is a school of thought that suggests we choose our own lives before we live them. If this is true, I have taken one for the team and am a hero!

frockhocker @jkdesigns I hope you get some healing soon! I have adverse reactions to a lot of pain medication so I understand what it’s like to not have options. For me the surgery stabilized my spine from further damage and got rid of an aggravating lower back ache. Now I have trouble above that area that is causing similar problems but I’m managing it with yoga and maintaining my weight.

Got more bad news two or three days ago. My teaching position at my current school is being dissolved. I have been transferred to a high school to work in an Autism Contained room. It may end up being easy. But I invested a lot where I am currently and have friends there. Many little kids will be very sad.

jkdesigns The job they are unfortunately transferring me too is the one position that is always posted. They can’t keep anyone and that is when someone even applies. My friend Lance worked that position prior to COVID and quit. He said many had done the same before him. Maybe it will somehow be the perfect job for me. There is a chance. If not, the transfer is a gift-in that I can interview for new jobs while still employed.

I have had a lot of work in special needs population doing psych eval and my older son is on the spectrum. It’s so much about how the principal sets the tone and treats the teachers and staff I think much of the time. Each school has its own personality.

jkdesigns No one at my current school wants me to go. We are short handed as it is. My principal is not happy. She didn’t want me to go either. She has graciously helped with me getting to all of my medical and PT appointments. Never asked questions. I have asked my doctor to write a restrictions letter so the new school is aware I have limitations. My doctor is already working on it.

jkdesigns My current drive to work is 7-8min. New school is 25-30 minutes away. I worked at this high school five years ago as a long-term temporary sub. It can be pretty rough. This high school has the highest COVID count of all in the district. When I subbed, I was the 14th sub they had hired. All before me quit or walked off the job. The kids broke in half and threw a $130 artists set of prisma colored pencils at the poor 77 yr old woman that subbed before me.

jkdesigns I worked in a middle school autism room that wasn’t even self contained and a boy taller than I am ripped a metal door to the bathroom off its hinges during one of his fits. He often fled from his one on one parapro.

jkdesigns I am not happy. In fact, I am mad, anxious, and sick to my stomach. I just hurt my back after a long long period of debt & a 4.5 month wait for my tax refund. I have had a bazillion dr. appointments & phys therapy. Slow progress, continued pain and the loss of being able to photograph & make jewelry. Now my job is gone. I don’t think I have the strength to keep dog paddling when I get pushed down under so often. I am struggling to be positive

It hurts my heart because I know you are of value in how your approach things and they will not appreciate it. Are there any private schools in the area you could apply to? Although that can be shakey in terms of stability and often no benefits.

jkdesigns Hi. You are receiving this because you are among my favorite customers. In a couple weeks, I will be temporarily closing my closet. The surgeon will need to fuse at least 5 vertebrae. My spine has failed. My recovery is estimated to be 8-9 months. I may be able to reopen Posh sooner but I will be closed quite a while. I am coming back.
