blueskyaction Well hello gorgeous! You are simply stunning, and what a special young woman you are, being a job coach for individuals with special needs. I go to UCLA, and this summer, Los Angeles is hosting the Special Olympics, with events being held at UCLA and that other school across town that shall not be named (okay, fine, I'll name it--USC--gonna go wash out my mouth now lol jk). Well, every year we host Greek Week, which is weeklong event that brings together all of the sororities, fraternities, and cultural as well as academic fraternities on campus, putting 6 organizations/houses to a team, and we compete in events and raise money for a charity. This year, our beneficiary was the Special Olympics! I also have three special needs cousins (triplets), so what you do is very close to my heart. It's an absolute pleasure to eMeet you, and good luck with your MSW (not that you'll need it, I know you'll rock the program)! School counselors are also very dear to me. In high school, my freshman counselor helped me as much as she could when I developed anorexia nervosa, and when I became horribly depressed my senior year and wanted to drop out despite being at the top of my class and being months away from graduation, my counselor managed to keep me in school and told me, "I don't care if you spend every class period in my office--we are GETTING you to graduation!" You will be an outstanding counselor. As for getting back to your normal size, I hope you're going about it in a healthy way and that you're able to be at peace with yourself no matter what size you are. The body is beautiful. Get used to it! Plus, it's just a vehicle for your soul, and you obviously have a beautiful, wonderful one of those <3

As far as your friend, that's awesome that she had a counselor so ready and able to help her through something as tough as an eating disorder. I too have had friends who struggled with similar demons. Do not worry about me though. I do lose weight the healthy way. I know how important it is to be healthy rather than skinny. I went to multiple places in Germany & Italy, as well as London, Paris, Switzerland, Austria & Amsterdam. I too fell in love with the fashion, architecture, food & people! It's such a cool thing that all these cities/countries are so close to each other, yet vastly different and similar at the same time. Where have you been?
