lavley @ppamprrd I shipped my first order today, and the clerk at the post office wouldn't let me package it myself. She jammed everything in the box and slapped my label in. My question is, do you buy your own boxes to package everything at home, or do you package it yourself at the post office? I think she was in a rush to get me out of the store. But the way she shoved everything in that box is bound to get me an iffy review and I'm frustrated because I don't know how I should've handled that.

ppamprrd @lavley I know this sounds crazy but she was probably trying to help you. If you are not using a mailing box and it said flat rate on it it may not get delivered or they could charge the buyer a lot of money. The only boxes that you can use are the free mailing boxes or your own brown box with a proper label on it printed from posh. You can get those boxes delivered to you free by going online to the USPS site.

ppamprrd @lavley also if you go to Facebook and join a bunch of the Poshmark user groups and search on mailing boxes you will see pictures of what I mean. I always wrap and package everything in the plain mailing boxes that are free and delivered to your door from USPS I tape the label on and I just drop it at the post office and have them scan it in so I get a receipt

lavley @tearose873 @cyndileigh I had a scheduled pickup from usps today but they didn't come to my door when they brought the mail. I didn't see them come, but they did bring my mail. Either the mailman was being lazy or didn't know. I will bring the packages to the post office first thing in the morning when they open!

lavley @tearose873 I think it's because I live in a complex and everyones mail boxes are downs the street a little. I can see them from my porch, but I guess the drive over to my door was too much to ask of the mail man 😒

tearose873 @lavley yeah, but if you actually arranged for a pick up, they should be physically going to your door to pick up.... That's what pick up entails, no? Ha!! What do I know?

lavley @tearose873 yeah i'm pretty peeved about it. I'm a SAHM with one car and the hubby works full time so I was stoked about the convenience of scheduling a pick up 😒 definitely going to make a point to bring it up when I go in there tomorrow morning!
