Hi everyone! I’m Lindsey, momma to two sweet babes, wife to my handsome hubby, and an elementary school librarian in my hometown in Kentucky. Happy poshing, y’all! 💙 July 2019 update - Hey Posh friends! I wanted to share with you that I was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I am currently undergoing chemo and still trying to keep up with my two babies and my job that I love! In this difficult time, I appreciate your support more than you know! 💜

zriibysandra Good Morning Lindsey, I've been thinking about you lately so I just decided I'd give u a holler while I'm hopping around in Posh club things out. So how are u doing physically with the tx's for the cancer, are u still doing Chemo tx's or are u at the stage where u no longer need the tx's?? We finally got my infusions started for the MS and so far Thank the Lord I'm still tolerating the medicine as my body distributes it daily.

zriibysandra >>I can handle the sniffles and coughing w/fever vs the aweful side affects the injections & oral meds caused so we'll keep doing this as long as we can. Anyway girl I hope that ur whoopin up on those chemo tx's and that u hit remission soon. 1kentuckycloset @zriibysandra hey Sandra! It is always so nice to hear from you. You’re so sweet! I know infusion can be tough but I’m glad to hear you’re doing it and taking care of yourself! I had my LAST chemo about a week and a half ago. I start radiation next week. Cancer free by 2020 is the goal!

1kentuckycloset @zriibysandra I was off work for 6.5 weeks due to neuropathy (side effect of the chemo) and then my white blood cell counts were too low to go back and be around a lot of people. But they finally went up and my doctor cleared me to start working half days. So I’m just working morning right now. Started back yesterday.

zriibysandra >>well she got sick and went into renal failure so I hospitalized her for 5 days and we couldn't get her to turn even w the IV therapy/abx treatment so on the 26th of September I had to lay her to rest. I've had to put down others but none of them hurt like she did I still cry everyday cuz I miss that little squirt and the pitty patter of her walkin around cuz she was such a little busy body. I'm working on getting another one but I'm gonna stick>>

zriibysandra W/a Yorkie vs a Yorkshire which is what vets call them when they don't know what the Yorkie was bred to. We finale figured it out that she was a Morkie which is a Maltese & Yorkie mix cuz the reg Yorkie normally doesn't have the health issues Minnie had, Minnie had issues from day one. Her peeper had to be operated on becuz it didn't grow large enough, from there I had to put steroids on it everyday to prevent it from getting inflamed then she couldn't pee. She was a little trooper thru it all

zriibysandra She never got scared of the vets office even thou everytime she went they stuck things in her then gave her shots u name it but if mama went in she'd walk right on in and then rather then worry about herself she'd get worried about all the other animals and just had to see all of them that I'd let her see and the babies would make her cry she wanted them yet she was sick. Anyway I'm gonna try to nap for a bit. Be careful girl

1kentuckycloset @zriibysandra I’m so sorry to hear about your little Minnie! It’s so so hard. We have two labs, Luna and Beau. They are family! And no you’re not crazy, I’m an elementary librarian! That’s part of why I had to be off work so long. So many little people and big germs. I’m taking it easy and trying to ease back in.

zriibysandra @1kentuckycloset Did u have a large amt of exposure to weed killer of any kind that had that one chemical in it, I have wondered that ever since u told me about the cancer. U know in the last 15yrs I've had to put down 4 dogs becuz of cancer & I saw a deal on TV talking about more dogs are being put to sleep at younger ages due to cancer & ive wondered if that was our problem u cuz Troy used it, he made the dogs stay in until it dried but it was still working on things. Who know.

1kentuckycloset @zriibysandra My husband and I were just talking about this the other day because we saw one of the commercials on tv. But it can cause Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and I have Hodgkin.s Lymphoma. Plus honestly I've never had any exposure.

zriibysandra @1kentuckycloset 😷😷You be sure and try to be extremely careful at work😷😷if u start to feel like it's just to much 🤢go home and save it for another day. Don't push urself and end up in a setback. I had planned to get Minnie certified as a disability dog for me as Minnie saw me fall and do a flip off the toilet about 3yrs ago, so after that day Minnie would lay where she could see me and if I leaned against the wall or put my head down

zriibysandra @1kentuckycloset She'd come in the bathroom & bark at me, if that didn't work she'd jump up on my legs & lick my face, & if that didn't work , then she'd do the nono she'd curl that little tongue up & lick me up my nose & I was awake & she stopped the fall. I've found 2 babies for 600.00 each their not Minnie but they'll work for training then I'll take them cuz they'll learn so I'll stop falling in public restrooms. Anyway that's where I'm at. Plz be careful that u don't get the flu
