You know that's someone that's gone through some (possible bitter or forcible) training and learn that.., well, it's ineffective to use 8 size gray front against pink background even though the cutsiness makes you feel otherwise lol - I'm speaking from personal experiences in case you can't tell!!!😹😹

courtmar Ooo travel is fun (sometimes)! During the school year is mostly meeting with students, committees, teaching, class prep, grading, etc. Summer is still busy, I just get to work at home doing research, teaching an online course, writing proposals, etc. Always busy, just get to switch gears which is fun. Finding descriptions can be so hard depending on the brand - Anthro thankfully keeps their links active for quite a long time afterward!

thestarrynight July's a great time for sale shopping - a lot of shops and brands are at 70-75% final clearance then (first markdowns are usually end May, second markdowns end June, final markdowns in July). I've only been to RI a couple times. How far away are RI beaches from CT?

It's one of the biggest sample sales - tons of stock across all categories, decent prices with killer deals sprinkled here and there ($5 tights!), can be crowded depending on the day/time you go. I don't know if I'm crazy enough to brave first day crowds, but I'll likely check it out day 2 or the last day. Let me know if you happen to be in the city Jun 23-28 :). Alternatively, if there's something you've been looking for, give a shout, and I can keep an eye out for you!

I had heard at one point that Anthro has some sort of warehouse in Georgia where they sell their samples. It's the only store and they do not have a website, shipping, reserves, etc. Not sure if that's still the case, but talk about a clothing pilgrimage! 😝

thestarrynight Ah ok - I'd thought that they might do employee-only sales or sales at their Philly HQ. Lucky Georgians! It's probably a good thing to not live in the city - you're likely much more strategic about sticking to sales for brands you love. There are just 2-3 brands whose events are "must-dos" for me, but sometimes the lure of a fabulous deal leads me to stopping by sales and getting items I don't really need.

courtmar @thestarrynight ugh, I bet! I had to go to Japan for work a year or two ago and didn't get over that jet lag for what seemed like weeks. I feel really good! School is challenging this semester since I'm teaching online and trying to work ahead to compensate for newborn time. Paid maternity leave would be so much easier! Sigh - oh well!

courtmar @thestarrynight ah, good luck! Online prep is a lot of pre-recording lectures and takes longer (at least for me) when it comes to interacting with students because you have to type up or record individual responses rather than talking to a room full of students at once. It's not terrible, just different. We are as ready as we can be for #2! Can't wait to meet the little guy!
