megalylove @lorxae you realize there’s a reason I cut you off right? I didn’t just randomly decide I don’t want to talk to you anymore. At some point you turned into a b****. You cared more about taking selfies and trying to get as many followers as possible than you did about spending time with someone who lives 12 hrs away and can’t go to Louisiana all the time. I ignored it for a while but eventually I couldn’t do it anymore. You used people and then got rid of them like they didn’t have any feelings.

And any time now that i do feel bratty or dramatic it makes me think of you and honestly it makes me feel confident because it reminds me of when i was friends with you and how we were like a dynamic duo of best friends. And when i do feel that way, it makes me miss you. you were a horrible person, but a good friend. maybe that’s not how you viewed the relationship but that’s how i did. and that’s all i wanted to tell you

megalylove @lorxae I actually wanted to, sometimes I went and got the kitchen knife and sat there with it to my arm, but I never did anything with it because I thought of you, maw maw, Laney, the people I knew still cared about me and I couldn’t do it. I did hurt myself though. I’d scratch my arms and legs where nobody could see, and I’d hit myself so hard I’d bruise. My parents made me feel like I am nothing. My own mother once said to me “why do you always look like something the cat dragged in?”

megalylove @lorxae Of course she apologized but I will never be able to forget that. She’d talk about me at work and call me “that girl.” Like I’m just a thing she had to put up with. My father called me a ho when I almost never had a real boyfriend until college. He constantly put me down, made me feel stupid, ugly, just worthless. When I came here I felt like I was finally free, they can’t hurt me anymore.

megalylove @lorxae I actually have a home that feels safe now. But I was wrong. My whole life my parents forced the belief on me that medicating things like anxiety and depression was wrong. So even though I was still struggling with everything I tried to ignore it. That lasted for about a year and then I couldn’t ignore it anymore.

megalylove @lorxae I finally went to a therapist and it took a while to open up to her but eventually everything just flowed out of me and she was shocked at everything I put up with, especially with my father. I’m so grateful to her because she helped me so much. I actually had nightmares about my parents and flashbacks of that house but now I haven’t had either for months. We decided that I would write a letter to my parents basically calling them out for the emotional and sometimes physical abuse.

megalylove @lorxae And I’ve been working on it for months because it’s so hard. So much harder than I thought it would be. When I write it makes me so so angry, and I usually start crying. They hurt me so much, and they know it deep down or they wouldn’t have asked me if they were good parents. They weren’t. So I was never perfect, and I never will be, but I wasn’t a horrible person. I was just broken, beaten down, tired, crying out for someone to save me until someone finally did.
