Hi! I’ve been a Poshmark member for almost 8 years! I admit I’ve been an inactive member for the last few, but I’d like to restart listing new items in my closet and being much more active in the Poshmark community! I live in Northern VA, I work part time as an RN, and I am a hobby baker! I love to travel, bake, paint, and shop for good deals!

lilacrose @mommyabeeyo it was hard even for me as a new grad. I started working in a hospital on ortho floor nights... Med surg is rough but it does open doors for you! Keep applying! I really wanted to work outpatient so it was hard for me to resign from my clinic job. I love it! Be open to starting anywhere in nursing then find what you love or what works for you! I'm considering going back to working on the floor so I can just work nights/weekends so we don't need to worry about daycare... So we'll see!

mommyabeeyo I know it stinks! I'm thinking of going back to school also. I went to a diploma school and I'm in the tristate area so all the hospitals are magnet status and starting to only hire BSNs 😔

lilacrose @mommyabeeyo I know. Here too! You know you can get your BSN for a really affordable price online? I looked into university of Phoenix but tuition was nuts! Western Governors University has it and its so much cheaper!!!!! Also you can test out of classes, some nurses got their bsn in 6 months!!!

lilacrose @mommyabeeyo trust me, nsg school doesn't even teach you much, you learn 90% on the job! So don't feel bad!!! And family first like you said! The rest will fall into place when the right time comes! Also, once you get enough field or floor experience, there are jobs where you can work from home. So that maybe an option for you in the future. My manager is trying to create a triage nurse position for me where I take calls at night and triage our neurosurg patients. I just get symptoms, or call in prescriptions if they need it or tell them to go ER if its serious! I hope it works out, bcz like you said nsg school is no picnic and you def wanna put your license into use!!!!

mommyabeeyo Lol! Tell me about I had some BSN nurses know less than us as students!! Bed pans backwards and just silly things lol! It's a hands on learning for me. I hate books and memorization. I know ya need To know your stuff but if you don't have common sense forget it lol!!

rose515 @lilacrose just wanted to thank you for sharing my stuff. So sweet of u to do that. I think I saw u at Jojo's bday last month with ur cute boss Dr. Austin! I love ur closet btw. I have so much stuff too and I've been donating a bunch of stuff to Goodwill and Value Village. Last week we cleared up our books bookcases and donated so much children's books and not to mention over 300 matchbox cars. I have two boys 23 & 12yrs old and continuously cleaning. msmara18 I know!!! I actually cried (it was so silly) last night holding my baby. He looked at me like "mommy you're nuts" and I was crying because I realized he's 11 months old now!! It feels like yesterday that he was just a wee little one. And he's amazing and cute and funny at this age, and I love it...but I also miss that tiny baby stage, lol :)
