bmrsnrally @funkypunky831 thank you! If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? I'm in OK & it is definitely dry here too. A lot of our smaller lakes have dangerously low levels 😒 I'm hoping that we have a wet spring this year!

funkypunky831 @bmrsnrally I'm in Hollister, ca ( central Ca ) and 1 of the lakes closer to us is completely dry as of last summer. I just googled it this morn and it's pitiful. Lake San Antonio in Bradley, Ca looks like a desert. We're so happy to barely get less than an in. of rain today and was curious to see how bad it was and found a post on youtube to confirm all the talk about it.

bmrsnrally @funkypunky831 oh wow! That is very sad! 😪 We definitely have boat docks & boat ramps on dry ground, but it's still not near as bad as you describe! I hope y'all get a lot of rain too then. I know there have been lots of fire problems as well around you. 😢 We have had some large fires here as well, but "large" is a very relative term & ours don't compare to CA's. So I take it that you & your husband enjoy the lake? We like to go any chance we get, even in the winter if just to walk around. It can be so peaceful then.

funkypunky831 @bmrsnrally i didn't think it was that dry there too. The news said ranchers in Ca are selling most of their livestock because of the drought. We enjoy the lake and my hubby decided to buy a boat 2 yrs ago since our teenager gave up on his dirt tracking career. Who knows why he gave up...but it's somewhat a relief as his mother❤️ we grew up near the beach and it's closer than any lake for us to walk along and enjoy😊 As far as fires, our coast had that devastating one in Big Sur. Fires in Ca are like tornadoes to y'all.

We usually go to Florida at least once a year as I have an uncle who lives on an island in the gulf, but I've never made it to the California shores! So dirt tracking.. I'm not sure we call something that here.. Did he race motocross? My husband raced motocross for years; so if that's what you mean I can certainly understand your relief!

And you're very fortunate to have a family member live along the Gulf🌞 Dirt track is flat track motorcycle racing. Different but equally stressful. A lot of speed😳 on an oval track🙈 I know it will always be in his ❤️ regardless. He's growing into a man and Mama can't interfere with that. Umm, only certain things!
