Just a few words about who's sending you all these goodies🍎 my name is Felicia and I live about 45 miles east of Los Angeles. I grew up acting and appearing in commercials but those days LONG gone. I've been a special education teacher going on 19 years. I'm a single parent & I have a 7 year old son with Down Syndrome who had open heart surgery and struggles with severe pulmonary hypertension. And I can definitely relate to your situation I am a single mother of an 8 year old little princess who was born with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Autism. Also, when she was born she suffered from Pulmonary Hypertension as well. They told me she wouldn't make it and even baptized her in the hospital. But God has the last word. And 8 years later she alive and kicking. I believe it's because of my faith on God. He knew that she still had work to do here with me😉 just wanted to give you a shout out because being a single mother is already hard but being the mother of a child with special needs is definitely the hardest. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I love my baby girl and I'm so happy she's here with me. So God Bless you and your handsome son. Your Great and I wanted you to know that. Take Care!

fmomansky @pebbles1008 omg you brought tears to my eyes, you are such an inspiration! Yes, my sons dad totally left after 14 yrs of marriage before my son was out of the NICU, it was shocking. My speciality is autism! I've been an Ed peculiar 17 years now, I absolutely LOVE my kids. One of my former students w/CP is finishing college & is doing great, they teach me the meaning of perseverance each day. It's not easy but you are SO right, it's by the grace of God of beautiful kids are here to bless us and the world. Sometimes it gets hard and I need someone to understand me someone that wears the shoes and hats I do everyday. He literally lost everything, some people are just not strong enough to handle what god has given. But you're right, we do what we must and in return are BLESSED with love and joy through our angels. neelug Awww he's so lucky to have such a loving mom! I work in healthcare and have taken care of some kids with Down Syndrome; it's can be challenging at times, especially given the medical issues that come up, but they are so loveable!

fmomansky @neelug aww thank you for the work you do, very challenging. Yes, they are super lovable, but VERY stubborn at times which is a challenge. Unfortunately, my son had very complicated issues, he's one of a handful of kids in the country with his particular issue (stage 4 arterial pulmonary hypertension due to misdiagnosis) and is on experimental drugs, gets very sick at times. neelug Sorry to hear that; I don't think I've even seen a patient with Down syndrome with that particular cardiac problem. At least you are in great hands down near LA; so many wonderful medical centers down there. I hope the experimental therapy is successful and he doesn't keep getting so sick! 😇

chanelle1772 I have an almost 8 year old daughter with down syndrome! Thankfully she didnt have to have heart surgery but spent her fair share in the nicu and hospital growing up. What amazing little blessings we have! Good luck and happy poshing! Handsome little guy by the way!

My son's heart condition was was misdiagnosed for over 3 years and that caused so many problems, but I'm thankful he made it thru. augirl36092 So happy I ran across your bio. My granddaughter has Down Syndrome. Has had heart surgery and severe pulmonary hypertension. She is currently on oxygen and gtube for feeding. She will be 11 months old tomorrow. It has been a journey but through it all a blessed one. Your son looks happy and healthy, a direct reflection of a wonderful mom.

My son was 3 when he had his surgery,was misdiagnosed at birth and they gave him less than 25% of making it through surgery. He had 3 blood transfusions and was on life support. I was told he'd be on Oxygen indefinitely plus a pacemaker. He walked out of the hospital after 2 weeks

fmomansky @augirl36092 it has taken a long time, but he's off oxygen and now plays base ball and soccer in a special league, reads, writes, and even cooks! Looking back, I can't believe he is the same kid attached to a tank with IV lines sewed in his neck.hes on A LOT of experimental medication and monitored closely but has a happy life and I am certain your girl will have the same. She will be in our prayers.
