sanpanman Hey bro! Not sure, but something does not jive regarding those Jawbones. I have never seen that cheesy cleaning cloth with any authentic Oakley’s. From what I have read, they come with a maximum of 2 sets of lenses too. Plus that case doesn’t look authentic either, never seen foam on the top and bottom, just top part. AliExpress For $15? Anyway, just wanted to let you know asap, so you can possibly cancel the transaction. Or at least put more extensive research into this. Take care!

kstogniew @sanpanman I know the accessories and likely the case judging from the quality of materials are knock offs, but I bought them on merc for less than 40 bucks shipped so I'm not really worried. I primarily wanted them for the extra lenses, as I had just bought a pair of pre-own jawbone customs for dirt cheap.

kstogniew @sanpanman don't discredit yourself man, I'm sure you've got a lot more experience with their shades than myself - I know you mentioned owning some of their more vintage m-frame maybe even have some X metal pairs? I'm still a noobie when it comes to their sunglasses, rather ironic being I've owned/collected their goggles since '07 only recently transferred my interest towards their shades!

kstogniew @sanpanman got 24hrs in the hole because buyer notes they're counterfeit as return request. Ask HR an they said they'd get back to me after 24hrs... I don't understand why even bother returning to me after that, the reason for inquiring will be irrelevant. I inquired what their statistics are on denying a return for being a fake item, an told me the standard bologna of 'can't disclose other user's transactions' - I don't understand these companies!

I have repeatedly asked simple and direct questions, only to receive mostly prewritten generic computer generated responses! Most customer service reps rarely write their own responses to a question. I can’t stand it, how they avoid a simple & honest response!!

If they could at least have the decency to tell you they got a higher offer would be nice, but I had one person on merci tell me they got 2 bucks higher offer on here and went for that... which dumbfounded me considering the take a larger commission on here. Clearly some people don't know math.

kstogniew @oakleybuyer If she was honest she'd put a clear image of the top of the hinges to verify the point made about only legit pairs having holes in the portion attached to the hinge. Although you can see in the pat. no pic that it's smooth w/o a hole = 100% fake.

I asked her to google the complete part number but she kept going back to the 9140 and saying it matched pairs on the Oakley sight so they must be real. You can go to one of her other listings and ask her to apologize for being so stubborn for me... lol

kstogniew @vintagecotten Oakley 'Halo' are a legitimate model name, they typically have an accent portion by the hinge that's different color than rest of the frame also on the accent portion will be a silver ellipse which has 'oakley' written in cursive font.

kstogniew @vintagecotten additionally you might find extensive database archive of Oakley's on o-review.com helpful in better deciding on authenticity without a need of going to the store in person. As from about the early 2000's onwards the most authentic models will be accompanied by a 5 digit sku number '## - ###' more recent models have two letter 'O' followed by 4 digits and then either 4 digits or in come cases there will be a letter as well after the hyphen 'OO####-####'
