wolfemom65 @nikkignj Thanks. ..you'll miss them like hell. In 2016 I lost 5 elderly animal companions including one wolf and the love of my life Chance kitty. Then 2017 I lost 3 more and my dad. I had to move from my house and leave town. I just couldn't deal with all of the memories. I have one cat left from that crew who's 15 and 2 new feral rescues.

My goodness she tried my patience but wouldn't trade her for all the obedient dogs in the world. Good for you to open up your new home to some stray babies. Build new stories with new companions 😊

I also had a Great Pyrenees / Artic Wolf named Gandalf at the same time. He weighted in at 200 lbs but thought he was a lap dog. ..lol I'll bet your dog is big and beautiful!

I wish I would've known him from the time he was a puppy but I met him when he was 8 ❤ I had the pleasure of knowing him for 7 glorious yrs before he passed of old age 😢 Hands down, the best dog I've ever met!!

I went back 10 mins later to get the plate & the food was still on it 😲 I thought the dog was sick. My husband asked if I had left if on the plate, I told him I had..lol..In which he replied, My dog doesn't eat food from off of a plate 😲

wolfemom65 @shanallc So true! I literally left my home and moved south after Nuva and Gandalf passed. Gandy was half Artic Wolf and half Great Pyrenees. He was a doll as well. A 200 lb lap wolf! I lost them and 5 geriatric kitties in a year so couldn't bear the memories. I doubt if I'll get another dog so they were my last. I'm 66 and it's getting to hard to manage large dogs so I just have kitties now. Your special dog will come to you. Ask Malachi to help. He might even decide to come back!

I can't say that I'm a vegan although I definitely try to be select and aware about all of my food choices but slaughtering animals for their fur in an age where it's totally unnecessary just won't do.

Either way I will never support anyone in any part of the fur trade. I even sometimes feel guilty about promoting fake fur because now days it looks so real.

Six months after that I lost my Ukkie Cat to heart failure and just recently my old man cat Coonie, who was 19, passed away while I was holding him.

He died in my arms as well at 20. I think of him every day. He was much more than a cat. But even though it's difficult to let them go I, like you, can't live without them. I am a hippie grandma now. My grandkids call me grandma smurf. They vote every three months on what color my gray and white hair will be next. I don't share camouflage because my husband was in Vietnam and doesn't see the fashion in it. I don't share LuLaRoe because I read that they exploit their workers; I mostly share Nike because family members work there. I have often wondered if others had sharing rules or idiosyncrasies!

I admire our Generation for sticking with our principles. Everyone just stares at me when I say that I boycott Starbucks because of how they exploit their growers. I went from Albuquerque to Santa Fe to Taos and just moved here 2 years ago because of health issues and needed warmer weather. I still have a house in Taos. I don't think I'll voluntarily ever leave New Mexico. There's no place like it in this country! I live up by the Organs and loving it!

I had just had my twins when I fell on a qyarter sized piece of ice in the handicapped parking stall at shooko and broke my taikbone. prior to that, I fell down my cement stairs outside and broke my mid back! now my spine isant what ut used to be!

They have a website that raises funds for the woman in her 70's who takes care of them. Makes sure they get enough food in drought conditions, medical bills and legal fees for trying to keep local ranchers from killing them.
