Friday through Sunday sales will generally ship Monday due to the post office hours. If I can ship Friday or Saturday, I definitely will. Top rated seller! Posh Mentor! cali_cat @mlandwehr Hi, Mary! I’m a Poshmark Ambassador and Posh Mentor, so you came to the right place! The buyer pays for shipping, not you. So that’s the first part of good news. Once someone purchases your item, they’re also charged about 6.50 for the shipping. So that will increase their cost. They will know that going in to the purchase. cali_cat @mlandwehr The second piece of good news, you may have read that overweight packages will cost more to ship, and it will be at the seller’s expense, so maybe that’s why you’re asking, but I have mailed a few heavy packages and never had an issue. I just box it up and put it in the mail just like every other time and it’s always made it’s way to it’s destination! You’ll receive a shipping label in your email to print and tape to a box.

cali_cat @mlandwehr I’m not sure of the dimensions of the box I used, however, there’s no standard you need to use for Poshmark. I just hang on to every box I get in case I need to use it. You can go to the usps website and order free boxes as well, but they take a while to get to you. The mailman will drop them off at your house eventually. Look for the free shipping supplies on the website and choose priority mail. Continued...

cali_cat @mlandwehr You do need to make sure you don’t use Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes. Just Priority Mail. Flat Rate takes a different shipping label. Again, you can use any box you have at home though. Just scratch out old bar codes/addresses. I do use Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes (there are more size options) and then wrap them in brown shipping paper like a present. Tape them up well and add your shipping label and you can’t tell that they were the Flat Rate boxes so you’re fine! Continued...

cali_cat @mlandwehr As far as fees. Poshmark takes their percentage and that’s it. They are really clear about what you’ll make on each item. It will say right there what you’re going to make when you list it for “x” amount of dollars. There is nothing hidden. When you lower prices or accept offers from people that are lower than your initial asking price, it will tell you the new amount you would take home, so it’s very simple and easy to know. cali_cat @mlandwehr If a buyer says they never got the package, Poshmark can see through the tracking info you sent it so you will still get your money. I suggest ALWAYS taking a video of you packaging up an item. I just use my phone. I show the item in good shape, show myself putting it in the box, sealing the box, and taping the label on. That way if someone buys something and claims you sent an empty box or the wrong product, you have proof and Poshmark will side with you.
