I haven’t lost any of my daughters but all of my family Mom, Dad, Aunts and all of my core family has passed There’s only 32 people left in our family. I totally understand, you and your wife try to focus on the great memories and God will definitely help you through it. My Mom died when I was 15 and it still hurts but I have accepted that God is in control and we will see our loved ones again. Hold on to one another and don’t let go. She left a beautiful son to bring your family joy💕

My Step-dad was. 30 yr. Marine who taught me to shine brass and spit shine boots. He married my mother after he retired. I then met an Army guy. We have been married 40 years. Good morning, Douglas. I just wanted to share something with you. You’ve been on my mind and heart since you appeared on my site last night. I have not lost a child (I don’t have any), but 5 years ago I lost my husband of 30 years. The 14 months prior, I lost my mom, my brother and sister in law and two close friends as well as a couple of pets.

I buried it for four years. God said, that’s long enough. Time to begin healing. He brought someone into my life that introduced me to a Christian organization called “Grief Share “. I began going to their weekly meetings and am beginning to heal. I strongly recommend you find a group near you and begin going. It’s a safe place to talk and unload. People who haven’t experienced loss like this, just don’t get it. I’ll be praying for you. Please check it out.

Yes, God has made me a very strong person. I did not cry for four years. This year the tears started. Sometimes it takes more strength to NOT be strong, to let God be strong for us. You, as a man and a Marine, will have a hard time doing that, I think. This “class” is 12 weeks. Many people repeat it. Sometimes several times. (Did I mention it’s free)? There’s NO time limit on healing. We both know that won’t truly happen till God calls us home.

I have a different situation...basically have "Lost" 2 sons who are alive but not in my life. Due to my ex seeing a girl at age 16...he div me & married her.
