Meet your Posher, Johnna Jo

I have been selling full time on Poshmark for slightly over 5 years and sneaking up on 8,000 sales from my closet. I combine my love of thrifting items with repurposing, upcycling, and promoting circular fashion. I am very honored to say that I won a Heart and Hustle Poshmark $5,000 grant in 2021. Besides the money, I also received Team Posh mentorship meetings for a year. I was a workshop leader at Poshfest 2023 and spoke at Poshfest 2024 on how to get more eyes on your listings. I have spent hours on zooms or in person discussions with Team Posh about how things work on Poshmark that makes it such a unique selling platform. I now do closet consultations to help mentor others. I have worked hard to get the brand of Hand Crafted more exposure. 4 years ago, I created a daily share/discussion group for those who knit, crochet, make jewelry, etc, to be able to share and grow their closet. I love to find unique items and repurposing finds into new creations. My closet is a wide variety of items from Boutique, NWT, used, handmade and vintage. I added crochet cat hats and my cat Monkey as my model. Feed him shrimp and he will wear anything. I graduated from Purdue in 1986. After working as a social worker in a nursing home, I became a nursing home administrator. I decided to take a hiatus, open a sewing business and move back home to take care of my mother. Being the stubborn woman she was, the 6 months turned into 13 years. Then came Poshmark....I turn 62 in May!
