Hi! I'm Kerri. Thanks for stopping by! At my job we have an annual event where we raise money for charities. I started making jewelry to help. I received a lot of compliments, so when I had several financial setbacks, I started selling it year round to help pay the bills. I have a great boss who let me set up shop in an empty cubicle. Only co-workers have access, so one suggested going online. Someone told me about Poshmark-so here I am. I plan to add a few other things, just for fun, of course!

@kerri7764 You have a beautiful pieces in your closet! May I suggest that you post more pictures of your items, so your potential buyers can have a closer look of what you are trying to sell. Try to join the Posh Party and share your items whenever you can (especially if they jewelry/accessories party) so that your items will get more exposure and not just to your followers.

@kerri7764 When you go to your info page there's an option to Find People. Follow all of them if you like. The list changes frequently throughout the day. That should help a great deal.

@kerri7764 Don't laugh, when I started I had no intention to buy anything. Ha, things happen. PM only requires a posher to buy just one item to complete the PA requirements. I'm from the old school of 'see one, do one, teach one'. Easier to explain the buying process if you have done it. Do you have more basketball, football, even baseball necklaces? Put them front and center.

My apologies, must have been too early this morning, and I wasn't following your question about 'My Likes'. Those are your personal likes, you liked an item in some else's closet and it goes into this file. Yes, you can make a comment in the message box under the item. When someone likes your item, it will show up as a number for however many people that likes your item. When you go to the item, the people who liked the item will show their username round picture.

@kerri7764 All messages are public. You can comment on posher's items. I have had things like 'good looking boots, wish they were my size, you need to buy my size... all in light humor. There are some good looking/great closets out there. Sometimes I can't stop looking till I get to the end. Bundles - one up to five items, posher is asking for a private discounted offer, no one sees the offer but them. They are not obligated to buy. They are just asking, but can buy if so desire.

Hello Kerri, thank you for checking out my closet. We are kind of doing the same thing. I started selling to add to my disability income. A little over a year ago I had pneumonia and was hospitalized for a week, during my stay they found nodules on my right lung and I have severe COPD. I managed a dry cleaners for 25 yrs. My company has been great but that don't pay the bills. Good luck on your Journey and you make some beautiful jewelry. Happy New Year and happy poshing.

I was in an accident, car totaled, medical bills, car payment, then the gutters & well pump, plus I cant afford the water softener that died last year & the water heater is on its last leg. Now I look around my house suspiciously wondering what is next. So here I am, making jewelry & going through my closet, hoping things get better.

@virgiemark I was on my cellphone. I tried with several of my items, then I tried with other people’s items, & it did not show the option of sharing to the jewelry party. Since my iphone was stolen 😩 I’ve been using a friend’s Samsung 4s -it makes me appreciate my iphone even more. Thank you so much for sharing my stuff. 😊🌸

@kerri7764 Good question about tax on earnings. PM defers poshers who ask that to their CPA or accountants. Since the govt spends more than the taxes they take in, sooner or later they will figure out a way to apply a sales tax. Have you noticed that you cannot delete a recorded sales from your closet? Since most of my closet cost way more than what I am getting on resale, any gains will be offset by great losses.

@jacaranda1831 That is a good point. The original cost of the item, especially things that I never wore, or only wore a 2 or 3 times, will help offset my meager earnings from my jewelry. I actually just had someone offer $4 for a $9 pair of earrings! With Posh taking $2.95, that would give me $1.05, which is less than what it cost me to make them! I’m assuming they forgot that the minimum for Posh is $2.95 & am trying not to feel too insulted.

@kerri7764 You can offer a bundle discount for multiple pieces. That way the buyer can average down and you can average up. Never go away insulted, be flattered they liked it enough to offer. I have reasonable minimums, but so what if it's a few dollars off min. I feel like I giving them a cheap thrill.

@murray272 - sorry for the late reply, I’m more of a morning person & I had a long day at work. Your jewelry depends on your style, your personality, & what you wear. I think of jewelry like the frosting on a cake, it completes your look, it should add polish, it should not smother you. I like short necklaces when I wear a scoop necked top or dress. If I’m wearing a turtleneck, I like something with a longer chain & a little chunkier.

@murray272 - I also would recommend looking at what colors you tend to wear the most. I try to have at least 3 outfits that I can wear a pair of earrings &/or a necklace with, unless it’s for a special occasion. I like both silver & gold. Silver has been more popular for quite a while, but I’ve heard that gold is gaining In popularity. To me, if I like it, I don’t care if it’s popular or not. I hope this helps! I love my lularoe leggings I have a lot of funky prints in bold colors so I always wear them with solid tunic. I like the look of a long necklace especially on a solid top and could probably find some cool statement necklaces that match some of my prints. I have owls magic carpets clocks, I like the unique ones that no one else has. You won't find any florals in my closet LOL. I like the look of anyting hemp I'm really into lava beads tiger's eye I guess that's a pretty good start huh?

@jessyjosh - No worries. I work full-time, so I completely understand. Most people on here are pretty understanding. I try to check for comments during my breaks at work & evenings. when I end my “sharing” for the day, I do a screen shot so I know where to start the next day. it’s a little overwhelming if you’ve missed a few days, then just do your best to catch up. Feel free to ask questions. I’ll do my best to answer. If I don’t know, I’ll find someone who does know.

@melange007 I was in a car accident a couple of years ago. My airbag went off. It ripped open my right hand, and also traumatize my left hand. Now I have trigger thumb in my left hand. The surgery was to repair that. In about a month I’ll have to get my right hand done.

I typically do long days in service on the weekends & Wednesday; which is my 1/2 day at work,it’s hard to do that with letter writing & phone. I can only do it for so long. But if it wasn’t for the current situation; we would not have had the most amazing regional convention with all 8 members of the governing body & helpers, plus by downloading it, we can watch it & listen to it multiple times!

The brothers in my congregation are working on asking an elder in Ireland & a CO in Zambia both to give talks in the near future. I’m hoping they will be able to work it out. It makes the vast distances that separate us seem much smaller. It always amazes me to know that we have best friends/family on every continent & even though we’re never met, we love & pray for each other.

Hi Kerri. I hope I'm not texting u 2 early. I have a question about the rhinestone-pearl embellished hair comb. When I look at the photos straight on, it seems like there is a black hole where a pearl or rhinestone should be. Its on the left side, closer to the top and towards the center. @aandr25 - they haven’t reinstated the hours yet. I think they realize a lot of us had less than a year in our new congregations, so we don’t have many RVs or studies. It’s coming, but we’ll get plenty of notice to prepare.
