For me, it’s worth it but yeah it’s good that you really think about it first since there’s no going back when you get one. It is a big responsibility. Goodluck just in case! 😊

@macvaki thank you so much for your kind words. I'm slight over 5 ft 4, and a bit smaller than typical j. Crew 00 in measurements. All items are per label size and bigger than they look on me, as I generally clipped the trousers/skirts and tugged the tops for styling photos. Just to show the looks and options. Not the sizes. Your welcome! Omg your puppy is edible! My sweet pea left us last year and I’m learning to live without him...it’s hard. Today would’ve been his 16th birthday! I was so blessed to have him for 15 years. Standard poodles don’t usually live that, I guess he was content and definitely loved!❤️❤️

I was completely mistaken when I thought this site was similar to eBay. I have been inundated with notifications and can’t keep up. Is it always like this or does it slow down? I only have 2 items and not sure if I will get the chance to list anything else. 😞

@alicenetwork well it’s a bit overwhelming at first but it really depends on your goal when you’re selling. If you’re using Poshmark just to sell, and you’re not in a hurry, you can share your items a few times a day when you have time (it’s easier since you have 2 items at the moment) especially when it’s the Luxury Posh Party since you’re selling luxury items. Unlike Ebay, there’s this community interaction with Poshmark hence the shares.

Once someone likes your item, you can also send them a private offer to let them know your preferred price or ‘buy now’ price same as in eBay. Share when you can if you’re in a bit of a hurry to sell. If you’re just really wanting to sell the 2 items you have, eBay might be faster but I think you incur a fee for it every month? Here you pay the Poshmark fee once your item sells (20% of the price of your item).

@alicenetwork see above haha I forgot to tag you. Likewise, Poshmark has authentication services for items more than $500 so there’s protection for both buyer and seller for high price items. If you’re interested in both selling and buying though, I still prefer Poshmark since I can also contact them if there are issues with the transactions and they can mediate. As for the notifications, you can adjust that on the setting

@alicenetwork I know I was clueless as well when I started haha. There should be a manual or diagram of some sorts when you start Poshing right? Anyway, just ask away if you have other concerns, it’s a bit tricky when you’re still starting but you’ll get the hang of it. For the shares, treat it as window shopping as well haha (there’s a lot of nice things to buy 😉) so that it won’t feel like a task. 😊

@ngawunwong 😆 Had a few, but sometimes it can even be for an item being sold for less than $20. 🤷♀️ I understand the concern as a buyer but Poshmark is still a 2nd hand marketplace and not an official retailer. There are a lot of Poshers who are very meticulous in keeping documents for their items and I admire them for that. I don’t like keeping papers in the house, even receipts for warranties I often throw them away, so I guess I finally just decided to write a disclaimer. 😅

So...I had to have a lot of clothes – some of which I never even got around to wearing. Got to clean out my closet and see what my next phase in life has to bring. If yes, if you’ve completed all the requirements, then yes, you are a Posh Ambassador! ☺️ It takes a couple of days though before Poshmark recognizes it so that’s why it still says you’re almost there. But if you have checked all the boxes, you certainly are one! You’ll see that updated/ Poshmark will send you an email/notification in the next couple days to confirm

Mostly I share the items during parties (according to the theme). The others that are not according to the theme I share in between. So basically I scatter my sharing throughout the day and especially sharing during parties.

@maybellemabelle But I only do it once, max twice for some (if my items fall into the categories of 2 different Posh Parties). The shares are important so that your items comes up on the feed of your followers daily and on the categories it falls under. It’s basically the way you advertise your items. 🙂 That’s why I share the items of fellow Poshers as well, to try to help when I can, and most of the time, they also share back. That’s the sense of community here in Poshmark. ❤️

@maybellemabelle hello... well, the more detailed you get, the better. I know it should be implied given the price, but sometimes it can be a cause of return. It hasn’t happened to me personally in terms of jewelry as I always put if it’s silver tone, sterling silver etc but based on a couple or so experiences I had with some buyers, ‘implied in terms of price’ will not always be obvious for some so I’d advice that you put it as gold tone, silver tone, faux pearl etc

@maybellemabelle or actually any other perceived implications... it is better to be covered so even if it’s a bit of a hassle listing those types of description, it’s better to do it beforehand instead of having a bad review or a request for return. That’s just how I do but it’ll be up to you.

@maybellemabelle no, Poshmark does not impose penalties for return items like that (unless I guess it was something obviously deliberate but not sure what situation will fall under that category). Well if the buyer wants to return the item, they raise that to Poshmark, give their reasoning and evidence/photo. Poshmark will contact the seller so seller can respond. It’s a discussion thread that can then be seen by buyer, seller and Poshmark.

If seller has a rebuttal to the claim/ does not want to accept the return, Poshmark will make the final decision based on all the info on hand. They’ve been fair so far per my experience, they try to protect both buyer and seller. There are certain reasons that are not allowed to be use as basis of return like item does not fit, change mind etc. It doesn’t happen often as well, I’ve had a quite number of sales and I only experienced it a handful of times. @maybellemabelle

@maybellemabelle Poshmark will also not allow returns once buyer has accepted the item or the item has been flagged as received by the buyer but buyer has not accepted it within 3 days (order will be marked as delivered automatically after 3 days if buyer did not accept the item via Poshmark). Buyer has 3 days basically to raise a return request upon receipt of order.

Now with Poshmark, I somehow have an ‘excuse’ to buy, because I can sell them here and it’s easy to rotate the stuff in my closet. @reneejean7006 haha, I had a really short intro message before then it just sort of ‘evolved’ and got longer through time. 😆 It’s not really needed to be this long though; different Poshers have different ways they present their closet through their profile page (like some are focused on photos than words). Whatever you feel like doing is more than enough, it’s your closet after all. 😁

Other notifications will still show in my feed but it won’t send an alert anymore. It’s hard to catch up with all the alerts! 😁

Though it can be tiring at times, it’s easier to share when I’m able to ‘window shop’ other closets. 😆 So many nice items- but not enough money lol!
