It goes against my character to do otherwise. (Although I do notice that it does seem like a bit of a ‘sharing’ game on here and the items do seem a bit repetitive/tedious at times.) shrinktheviolet @rosierecycles I do not. Years ago, I sold some of my true vintage pieces on Etsy but I stopped that long ago as life got busy and such. I thought I’d give this site a try since there are no listing fees and I can sell my true vintage items (of which I have quite a collection) and my HUGE collection of vintage-inspired pieces and other stuff. Do you sell on other sites?

I always try to remind myself that these purchases are helping a small business like ourselves instead of a huge corporation that make gazillions of dollars. I started setting goals and try to be the boss I always wanted. When I got my first ambassador badge I rewarded myself with things on Posh. If I make $100, I might buy a dress if the deal is right. It's like my own video game. YOU GOT THIS.

I will keep telling myself that it is like a video game—I love that! I need to get more practiced at resisting the urge to buy every fun/pretty thing I see, but thrifting (especially vintage) is in my bones so I’m like a kid in a candy store. 🍭 You are right though…it is supporting small businesses and recycling. And it’s like a video game…new mantra. 😉❤️

And YES to independent contract work! 🥂 Wow, we really do have a lot in common. 👯‍♀️ Although, I work with adults only and admire anyone who works with children—particularly in special education. My 🎩 off to you, my friend. I work with survivors of childhood trauma and a lot of grief/bereavement work as well as cts living with chronic illness. Pmark offers a nice balance to the tone/pace of my ‘day job’…you probably can relate? ⚖️

I have been collecting (hoarding 😂) vintage and vintage-inspired fashion as well as kitschy, quirky pieces since I was a kid. It has snowballed into a passion and and obsession. It is not my professional “dayjob” though sometimes I wish it could be.

shrinktheviolet @engelmama Most of what I sell on here is from my own collection or pieces that got passed on to me—mostly from my very stylish late-grandmother. Some are pieces that other friends and family members have given to me because they know “Nicole likes vintage and weird stuff.” 🤣. A lot is from years of thrifting as a teen and then young adult which turned into vintage-ing and now I have a giant wardrobe that I don’t know what to do with, haha. 🙃
