Hello! I'm Olga. Thank you for sparing a few minutes to read 'about me' 😁!! I am trying my best to curate my closet with current trend items as well as traditional pieces. All my items are in excellent condition. If there is anything not 'up to par", I am very transparent about it to make sure when my package arrives at your doorstep, it is everything you hoped for ☺️ Although my personal style is quite dark, I dress for my age & body type while not comprising my fashion style. My personal style does not keep me from seeing beauty in all trends (even the really...let's say, "fashion forward" ones). Yes, I am a fashion designer by trade but I no longer work for the "made in China" companies. I love this concept of reselling, up-cycling & avoid creating more waste as we have more than enough fabrics (including leathers!) that we do not need to keep manufacturing! beatabing hi Olga. I only sell my own items and a few of a friends and my stepdaughters. Others are re sellers. Meaning they purchase from others or from donation stores like Goodwill etc. That is what i have picked up from reading on posts. Some also get their items from consignment stores as well, basically anywhere you can purchase low and sell at a profit. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to help.

beatabing Also best advice i received from a posher was to share your closet once a day. Share as many other people's items as you can. And follow as many people as you can. that way they will follow you and the circle will continue. next thing you know your sales will double and you will have 10k followers.

I just don't know what to do once I'm done posting all the stuff but I guess time will tell 🙂 I've been sharing people's items A LOT so that hopefully they return the favour. And they do. But I find it's not nearly as many as I have shared (theirs).

bunchofsalvages @beatabing When you say to share tor closet daily, do you mean share each iteam daily separately or share the whole closet at once? Although I'm still not sure where the to click for that. Lol Also, do you follow US members? I get a lot following me but it's not like I can buy from them. Even if I could (through a "resend service") the exchange rate makes the prices significantly higher and there's a chance of having to pay duty fee on top of that. What do you do? beatabing ie. lululemon. if u are unsure how to do that let me know and I'll tell unhow to do it. you can follow up to 50 brands. alsonif someone likes any of your items make them an offer. if they don't accept no big deal at least you threw an offer out there. it might feel hopeless at times, it really does but there are ups and downs. right now i feel sales are really down.

beatabing once stage two came into effect people went outside and sales went low. I've only started in April to supplement my purchases on poshmart. regardless keep adding to your closet with good pictures and descriptions that's the advice i received from a professional seller. lighting is very important, good descriptions. first 10 words are the key. hope that helps some. anything else don't hesitate.

bunchofsalvages @beatabing I'm glad you responded about the US followers. Maybe once Poshmark finally figures out how to merge our countries, it will be very beneficial. And from what I read, Canadians can buy from US as long as it gets shipped to a US address. And their market share is HUGE compared to Canada. You're advice is very helpful and when I become an ambassador I will 'pay it forward' to new people on Poshmark 😁

bunchofsalvages @ney7kline Oh I know. I used to live in LA. The US market is not comparable to Canadian. And it's gotten SO expensive here. I don't mean just houses and rent. Food items jump in price like 20% overnight! And unfortunately, Poshmark doesn't do Canada-US selling 🙁. You have to have a US address and have to ship out of the US to US. So I'm limited for now. Unless there's another platform to serve both. But other than eBay, I don't know if one.

bunchofsalvages @ney7kline Not to mention shipping is ASTRONOMICAL! No one would pay $25-30+ for up to 12 day shipping. The economic logistics here are not at all focused on small business and especially not on online selling (esp bc of shipping & duty fees). Sorry for the rant but you are absolutely correct and it's so frustrating. I SO wish I could move back but unfortunately I can't work there without a visa as I'm sure you know. But if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. Nice to hear from you 😊

We’re enjoying the good times and then we face ourselves selling everything. One season, houses are dirt cheap. The next year, rent has skyrocketed. If someone would have told me 8 years ago that I would buy a house & fill it up with material goods, I wouldn’t have believed it for myself. I’m yearning for SPACE.

ney7kline @bunchofsalvages I just looked at your numbers. I have been selling on PoshMark since 2016. On Posh, you have to create your own luck. Have you watched videos on how to sell on poshmark? The most helpful video that I found was Erika with a K. You must increase the number of followers. Otherwise, you’re just preaching to the choir. My closet was getting Stale. Go to “Find New Friends” & follow them. It doesn’t matter what they’re selling. They could B looking for a vintage dress to gift away.

I've learned a lot in the last few months about the customers and what they look for, price points, etc. So now I have a better idea how to calculate my profit margins and "contingency" based what kind of offers I get (or to offer) relative to my listing price.

bunchofsalvages @ney7kline I actually have been actively seeking out followers and I share at least 4-6 items out their closet and a lot of the time they share a bunch of my items in return (rather than just one). I found its best to add people who participate in the parties as they are they active ones. I've finally reached Ambassador status last week and I'm getting bombarded with followers. Though most of them are newbies with no listings.

ney7kline @bunchofsalvages - 9 out of ten of my buyers are Poshers are new on the scene and don’t know the ropes. They receive $5 to join. What I mean by the ropes is that they’re not manipulators. They don’t have a motive for joining Posh other than to shop. So they won’t be the ones advertising their closet under your listings in the thread comment section or Liking / sharing your items so that you will notice their closet and buy something from them.

ney7kline @bunchofsalvages pay attention to the comments other Poshers leave in the thread. A lot of buyers will read the thread before making a purchase. A Posher LIKED my Swarovski ring. When I lowered my price, she took that opportunity to leave me a comment giving me and other Poshers a Sales pitch that she has a matching bracelet. I had another Posher who LIKED 3 of my items & took the opportunity to advertise her closet in the comment section when I offered a discount.

It gives them more of an advantage to get noticed & I hope that in return they share a few of my items. I found a lot of the time the response to be quite positive! I'll share like 4-6 of someone items & often they share nearly my whole closet 🤩. But whether it's totally worth it: time vs quantity - I haven't figured that out yet.
