He lived there for a while and his father owns a condo in Waikiki that just recently went on the market. My island is about an 8 hour flight from you! We surely miss home! Hubs is in the military. shopofthemoment Hi Pamela! Thank you for your message regarding the Nicole Miller handbag. The question is a good one, but it’s not where the bag is from but WHEN that matters. This bag is from the 2005 Nicole Miller collection, back when her handbag designs were much more high end then what you see now from her online. I paid a very pretty penny for each of these bags. Much more then what I sold it to you for.

This one and the solid black were the only two I had left when I took a hiatus from online selling that lasted nearly a decade. These bags were in air tight storage all of that time. You can see it’s in pristine new with tags condition.

shopofthemoment Fast forward to now, when the high end Nicole Miller bags are no longer being sold. That is why you can not find anything else like this online. It’s also why I chose to sell them less expensively as nobody knows what they are anymore. The truth is when you made your offer I was torn about whether to accept or keep the bag for myself.

shopofthemoment Because I have so many personal bags, I chose to accept the offer. But I have always loved that bag and told myself I wouldn’t give it away for cheap but keep it for myself if it came down to it. But the craftsmanship and materials on the bag speak for themselves. You can not get that kind of calf hair and whipstitching effect from faux leather. Nor did they have the kind of technology in 2005 that they have now with regard to materials.

shopofthemoment Here is a short guide to help you identify genuine leather: Check the surface grain, the little "pebbles" and pores, for imperfections and uniqueness that signal genuine leather. Smell the leather, searching for a natural, musty smell instead of plastic-like or chemical-y. Note the edges, as real leather has rough edges where faux has even, perfect edges.
