@sarahpmatthews hi! Happy to hear you received it. I used to change the battery at The Bay department store. Any department store With a watch counter should be able to change the battery. It used to cost me about $10. Also to open the watch press on the clasp that has the spade ♠️ symbol. Press down/in on it!

@sarahpmatthews hi Sarah! It’s actually really easy to open and close. You have to press down on the pointy side of the spade inward. Try this a few times. It’s quite easy once you get the hang of it.

Did you try to YouTube how to open? Trust me, once you get it you’ll see how easy it is. I think you are probably pressing in on the entire circle with the spade logo. Try pressing down in on the pointy side of the spade. Let me know how this works. There really isn’t anything wrong with the watch, it’s just a different way to open than you’re probably used to.
