styledbuyv @kmr11477 Download the app called InstaFit Free. It enables you to keep the full size image that you took rather than it cutting off your image when you post it. There are so great filters on it to lighten up your cover photo and to sharpen it so you get a true idea of what the image looks like. The better your cover photo, the more opportunity you have to catch a viewers attention.

styledbuyv @kmr11477 My second tip would be to ensure you have 4 images on every item you post. First item is your best cover photo, second is a front shot of the item, third is a back shot of the item and the last is the item laying flat on a clean floor and styled somehow with shoes or a handbag.

styledbuyv @kmr11477 Another thing that helps me a lot is to share other people's listings. 90% of the time, they share a listing from your closet to their followers and it enables more viewers to see your items and more visibility means more chances for a sale. And lastly, follow as many people as you can with the same size as you. This is time consuming but what I do is click on the "shop" icon and then go to dresses or shirts.

styledbuyv @kmr11477 I have my size filter on so everyone that comes up is someone that is your size. I click on each person, follow them, share an item or two from their closet and then proceed to the next one. It takes hours to build your audience. But with time and patience, you will be selling a lot in no time. The one other thing is to remember, you aren't making any money by items just sitting in your closet.

styledbuyv @kmr11477 So even making a little money off each item all adds up. Make sure after a week of no likes or interest, lower your items a couple dollars if you can and then share your item to your followers.

styledbuyv @kmr11477 When you do sell, try to ship out same day or by the next day if u can. When I ship I always throw in a little bonus gift and wrap in tissue paper for the total package. I hope this helps. I am by no means an expert. I am still learning everyday but these tips have helped me a lot and I hope they help you too 💕 happy to help any time.

styledbuyv @schx4 dog dog? Hahahaha. So cute!!! I use Tarte lights, camera, lashes 4 in 1 mascara in black. It's the best thing I've ever found to truly lift and separate lashes. It's well worth the money at Sephora. You can get it from their site. It's the plum colored box with gold writing.

I have tried selling on my own before prior to learning about Poshmark and the pros far outweighed the good. Let me tell you what you get with Poshmarks fees... First off, no place can you get 2-day priority mail for only $4.99.

styledbuyv @ptramble Every single shipment is covered and backed by Poshmarks protection which means every package is protected when shipped. They treat us so well in here and if any issues occur with a customer, they handle them. It's truly stress free. Poshmark has provided a HUGE buyers market for us. You can shop and find your buyers very easily on here by using the filters to narrow your search.

miralovescandy @vmusto123 OK. I bought a used Lilly item and it said no Flaws and it had armpit stains another stain and other fading not listed and it said no flaws. Should I feel bad if I had to take the pics and stuff for Posh and Posh a problem with order? It is the 2nd time I got something from someone that wasn't as described. The other smelled like smoke and was a medium and shrunk to xxs and faded.

styledbuyv @miralovescandy I think you shouldn't feel bad what so ever! The seller should have described the item better and you shouldn't have to pay for something that is not as described. That truly sounds disgusting and I absolutely think you did the right thing. What I would recommend you do is to contact the seller and explain to her your experience before she finds out from Posh what happened. Tell her you are disappointed and see if she is willing to make it up to you somehow.

Try to be a little understanding and dont post too high or it will never sell. The way I look at it... id rather have mediocre profit and high volume for customers then to have high profit and very low volume of customers :)

Share your closet once in the morning and once in the evening and the rest of the day you want to share other poshers listings. Maybe 5-6 per each poshers closet and move on to the next one.

It looks like the cutest little boutique type of closet front. The only major suggestion I have is to lighten your photos up a bit and take an even closer close up.

styledbuyv @maggz817 You can do this by either retaking your cover photo or zooming in and lighting up the photo with a photo editing app. The apps I use are InstaFit free, FaceTune (not free) or even Pic Collage. You may even be able to go into the photo directly on your phone and crop and lighten there. Try it and let me know. Just remember, your buyer only has a few seconds of looking at a cover picture to determine if they want that item or not. 💕 hope this helps.

I have been on Poshmark for three months but I have strictly been purchasing from other poshers to resell. With a few exceptions for me. I did not have the smaller sizes or new designers. None of them match. truly need to go shopping for some cute supplies. shelpen just wanted you to know that I received my package today and felt like I was in a fantasy land. Everything was so so pretty. Especially the top I purchased. fits except the first half of the sleeves up to the seam is too tight. I think a simple fix would be to have The longer part of the sleeve removed. It would then be a short-sleeved. All is well. Loved my little surprises. Everything was so pretty.

styledbuyv @warrior04 yes bellanblue is amazing. She does 10k shares a day. I have done that once on a day I didn't have to work my full time job haha. All I can suggest is get your laptop or computer out, get a rolling ball mouse. Sharing is SO much faster because u don't have to open each listing individually. Share listings in your news feed and parties as often as you can. Sharing equals sales. More followers doesn't help sales much.

styledbuyv @warrior04 before sharing, make sure your two first listings in your closet are two different sizes. Maybe a small and a large. When you share, users share back but only usually your first or second listing. That's when they see their size is the same as what u have :)

styledbuyv @kellisuej you are so not dumb girl! Great questions and can easily be confused. So a cami is also known as a camisole. It is a thin material adjustable spaghetti strap tank top that is worn as an under shirt under low cut tops or see through tops. A tank top is usually referred to as a sleeveless top that has thicket straps than a cami and is regular thickness. A tank can also be dressy. Sometimes I call Shirts a tank blouse because it is sleeveless but dressy.

Trying to make a closet work with both new and used items could pose some complexities because your audience is different. For example, half of the buyers on here do not want to spend money on retail items. So they will look for closets with only used items so they don't have to pay a lot.

So, what does one do? You have decided you want to be 100% retail which means you want a boutique closet. One had to decide between a thrift shop or a boutique.

You will most likely waste some money upfront while you try to find a vendor that has the quality and designs you are looking for. I NEVER post "coming soon" with a picture of an item because what happens if you get it and the quality is bad or they sent you the wrong order?

And lastly, you really need to brand yourself. Pick your name, your colors, what style of clothing you want to post (trendy, punk, chic, high end, etc) and stick with that same type of style so that you build your audience more and more

Most important part of branding yourself and finding amazing distributors/ manufacturers... You need to register your business name and get a tax id number. You will need your tax id number and a copy of your business license to send to companies so you can purchase wholesale

styledbuyv @jennyscal7 I am from NH and the laws are VERY similar. If you stick with being a thrift store, you do not need to register if you are just doing this as a hobby. It can be so much fun shopping. You really would want all Sizes in your closet too. Goodwill would be your best friend.

styledbuyv @jennyscal7 Look for top brands like Nike, Lululemon, BCBG, Steve Madden, Sam Edelmann, Loft, Express, etc. also ask your friends and family to give you their used clothes rather than bringing to goodwill. The best app I use for creating ads in my closet is Pic Collage. Do you have an iPhone? You really need to make sure to get high visibility that you share as many listings as you can during parties and in your feed. 💕

styledbuyv @jennyscal7 is that true? yes and no. If you spent $100 on something years ago and then you sell in your closet for $20 now, even though it looks like profit- it is not. So you have to consider price paid versus price sold in order to make that determination. You also have to consider if you are doing this as a hobby or a business. Most likely with a hobby and selling used items, you won't profit how much the item originally values at. Does that make sense?

If it's a dress, full length front, full length back, side profile and close up of any flaws. 💕 a great description helps too. Materials used in item, length, if sizing is accurate.

I did notice some of your cover shots looked a little too bright and washed out. Almost as if a filter was used. Your rhinestone hair ties, I couldn't tell what they were from the cover photo :(

styledbuyv @helloagain712 the last thing I noticed is you do have 2 things that are not good to have on your page. The first thing is you have nail polish, which is against USPS federal regulations to ship and Poshmark bans those types of products. If caught, they could flag your account. You really should remove your nail polish listing as its non compliant.

If you take your non compliant item down, people will most likely help you and share from your closet. I could actually get in trouble as a Suggested User from sharing that item.

However, Posh does not allow you to ever draw people to another selling site other than their own. I see you have said you sold items on eBay on your page. Posh may frown on that.

If you direct someone elsewhere, they not only lose the sale but they cannot protect you. They may flag a user if they ever see someone saying "check out my acct on e b a y"

Phone sharing takes forever and is not that effective because u have to open each item to share. Computer sharing you don't open the item, you click the share icon on bottom right hand corner of cover shot pic.

And yes, as of June, used bathing-suits are now allowed pending that they are washed and in great used condition. No stains or tips. Used bras are also now allowed. If you need any advice at any time, please ask away. Here to help. I ask to please stay away from Wish, Trendsgal, AliExpress and Wholesale Fashion Square (it's all cheap knock offs). They are all terrible and never consistent.

styledbuyv @spesh2284 You will throw thousands away and people will stop shopping with you because they will know it's from those fake knock off asian sites. Any specific questions? I'd be happy to help. Your best bet is to Google wholesalers and call them. Speak to them and ask for samples. Alwayssss try on and inspect all items when you get them. I always keep 1 of every item and wear and wash them several times before selling to ensure quality. It has also saved me a ton and customers always come back

styledbuyv @spesh2284 there are a couple sites you don't need them with (try googling clothing wholesalers) but to get good quality and best prices, you need to register your business name and get a tax id number (the rules vary state to state on reselling clothing) and you do need to also claim on your taxes. It's honestly I HUGE pain in the butt and i recommend finding wholesalers that don't require a license first to ensure it's what u want. It's a ton of work.

styledbuyv @spesh2284 you also need to think of branding yourself. Making clothing tags, getting a clothing tag. If it says boutique, it should be new with your tags on them. So creating a logo, tags, packaging, etc is ideal for customer to return. You could try wholesalefashionsquare IF you ensure the items are made in USA. The imported ones are disgustingly horrendous and knock offs. I personally stopped shopping there because the items were very cheap and I got my license.

Which shows me there is only one reason why you aren't selling and that is, you aren't getting enough traffic to your closet. Poshmark has millions of users and is very competitive. No one can expect to post their items and let them sell themselves, it won't ever happen that way. So....

The days I don't share thousands of other listings a day, I barely get a sale if any at all. Once you build a network of returning customers it will be easier.

Which means they are seeing your gorgeous listings :) which means potential buyers are viewing your inventory. Soon you will be selling several listings a day. The more you share the more you sell. I share 4,000+ a day and make 3-4 sales a day. You can do it. 💕

I usually counter my lowest which is only $2-3 at most. And then I tag them and explain to them you are sorry and cannot go lower and that u will ship fast and wrap beautifully but can't afford to sell at that price

Maybe it was expensive, maybe it's valued way higher online, maybe the condition is fabulous. Either way, people hate reading descriptions so sometimes you can counter with your original asking price and then explain to them exactly what u already wrote in your description.

Apparently there is a glitch posh is working out where the system cannot keep up with all our shares and is showing limited visibility to when we share. I don't know the exact details but I have spoken to several big time poshers on here and we are all in the same boat with low sales. I shared 6,000 shares yesterday and only got 1 small sale. Don't get discouraged,

styledbuyv @everythingpink1 Poshmark is working on the shares issue and also Feb/March are always the slowest months. Don't keep dropping prices though. It will pick back up in April. Don't devalue your items or you will be known as the "cheap" closet. If prices are neutral to a little higher than neutral, people will respect you and your clothing more.

And let me tell you... when I say this exact thing... 90% of the time, they purchase at my asking price. You may have to tweak a bit but you should tag the user and try it. Scared me too death!!! But I have been blessed with a new foot!!! I have 5 broke bones 2 screws and one rod and no pain meds needed since Sunday!!!! God is Amazing!! Continue to pray for me! styledbuyv @harmony912 Boutique is sooo hard to sell because everyone thinks it's so inexpensive to purchase but it isn't. So you don't make much off each item. And you always have to be adding more inventory constantly as new trends come out. It's unfortunate but you really have to pick thrift or boutique because otherwise you will confuse your customers. Most of the time someone is looking for a closet with used or looking for a closet with new. Very seldom mixed.

So basically if you want to make this a business you have to share thousands upon thousands of listings a day. This can only be done on a computer with a mouse because you don't have to open each listing to share. You just click the share icon and move fast.
