For me the fundamental theories that shine through in art theory and any study of art stimulate and challenge the critical mind. Before school I packed myself up and lived in Italy for a year.

essentialmood Andddd I'm teaching myself italian. Learning a little bit a day with my apps and books 😂 I went to Italy last summer with my family and fell in love. Sooo sick you lived there for an entire year! Jealous!!

sarahlh95 @arianashallman oh my gosh, you too! I'm at the Art Institute and heck yes art history is incredible. It's critical and a whole lotta philosophizing philosophy haha. Always good to focus on the practice of interpretation🤘🏻 I've a few friends at Amherst, partial to the Cambridge atmosphere myself. Andd yes please, always down to clown with the museums and galleries anywhere and everywhere

sarahlh95 @arianashallman I completely fell in love with Italy as well. It's funny because my initial plan was to study French in France somewhere, but I flew in through London and met who is now one of my best friends and he was headed to Italy so I joined. Studied Italian in Montepulciano and never wanted to leave. Do stick with it, invaluable especially if you want to spend time over there. You'll get so much more out of the experience
