thegarmentgrove Hi there! Love your closet! I’m curious about the “no offers” policy you have - I’ve often considered this myself but then think it wouldn’t work because lowballs are so prevalent on posh...do you find that it works well or are you constantly having to communicate w buyers about it?

nineve @piscesgal03 it’s a life saver (or at least a sanity saver). While I do still have to field offers, it’s markedly less common once I put the “no offers” into place. I also find it is the most effective to counter their offers with my original price. (Even though I get annoyed and just want to decline or ignore). I’d say their acceptance of me offering back my original price is 50/50. I’m Cool with that statistic.

nineve @piscesgal03 It does help that my pricing is really reasonable/low when I look at comps. (As in my dress is offered for 35$ while the same one has an asking price of 80$ in an “offer friendly” closet. I do find myself having v to point that out sometimes though. Sigh. I think the need to compensate fur offers has led to an overall price inflation across the platform. In my humble opinion. 😂❤️

thegarmentgrove @nineve I agree with all of this. It would be nice to be able to just price something at what you think is fair and move along! I hate inflating my prices 10-20% because I know that many buyers don’t actually like to haggle and inflated pricing is likely scaring them away. Damned if you do or if you do t right? In any case I like that you do this and yes your pricing is very reasonable ☺️ Thanks for replying and giving your perspective, it gives me something to consider.

nineve @piscesgal03 I do believe that as many customers that could be put off by the no offer rule is more than made up for by customers that love it. 58% of my sales dollars are from repeat customers. So I do firmly believe it’s a good niche. And thank you for your questions! I find this topic deeply interesting and have given it a lot of study.

nineve @thisgirlmarlo One of the handiest practices I’ve found is when a poshers makes a bundle of items from their closet that fit the party’s criteria,and sends it to me. Please excuse me if that paints me as lazy or whatnot, I’ve just found it to be super efficient and it encourages me to select from them! ❤️❤️❤️

It was buried in my closet;) I wish I had saved everything! But occasionally I find a gem that my daughter doesn’t take. Your collection is beyond impressive. brand_new_life @nineve Oh my goodness, that's amazing! I was on the fence about the dress being legitimate Anthropologie. Your response helped me realize that it was something I wanted in my collection. It's the one with a gazillion yellow buttons on it. (Yellow is my favorite color.) And their old school stuff is just so unique looking. I always feel like it's art!

nineve @amandaiverson23 there’s no info on the shirt- I can make a guess from the timeframe, but it’s not noted in the catalog. The pants are the “six pocket cargo” but no brand is listed. I sorted through the potential brands from that timeframe- but I don’t see any with a drawstring yet…

jetemoeri Oh my! Your closet is amazing! I’m curious if you ever get Anthro pieces from 2002 and earlier (I noticed a few). I unfortunately got rid of a couple pieces I had from the original Anthro store in Wayne near where I grew up. I’m looking for really early stuff, simpler and more wearable on a daily basis.
