Hi, my name is Angel and I'm a recovering shopaholic! Over the years, I have amassed sizable collections of clothes, bags, accessories and shoes. 😊 A lot of my things are still brand new. Now, with 2 little ones, the chance I'll get to use them is very, very slim. I've started to go through & organize my closet & I am very excited about being able to find my treasures new & loving homes. Though, I'm shopping a lot less for myself, I have shifted my focus toward buying for my daughter & son! 😇

I am a new Grandma, my daughters were born 16 months apart & they were pregnant @ the same time their babies were born 1 week apart in December a boy & girl lucky me to have found your beautiful, affordable baby items!!! kidrobot Hi Angel! Hope you're doing well! I am sorry to message you so late, but I was wondering whether you're familiar with poshmark policies regarding returns on item $500 and over where the seller ships to poshmark Conceirge first and then to the seller.

kidrobot Do you know if the buyer can then open a claim to return the item even though poshmark Conceirge has already inspected the item? I've had some bad experiences where a brand new item without damage was returned to me damaged and I am concerned about this happening again. Thank you in advance for your help!

taropuff @kidrobot Hi, I actually haven't experienced anything like what you're describing... yet. I'm sorry that you have such a terrible thing happen! A couple of weeks ago I had a buyer submit a claim that their package was damaged upon receipt with the item missing. It took PM several weeks and I know they had the buyer send in photos as proof. I'm not sure how they arrived at their conclusion, but they ended up denying their claim and the payment was finally released.

taropuff @kidrobot I feel bad that the buyer ended up paying for nothing assuming they weren't being fraudulent. My opinion is in these cases of he said/she said, PM should be able to cover the costs for both parties as this is why they charge such a high commission.

taropuff @kidrobot In your case, what happened the previous time when your item was returned damaged? I would think PM could validate or keep records of the condition of the item during concierge service. Maybe a good idea for high priced items is to take pics and video of it while you're packing and sealing it up for shipment for proof of condition should you need it later.

taropuff @kidrobot I would also say it might be a good idea to contact PM concierge and make it point for them to acknowledge the condition of the item as their inspecting it since you've had a bad prior experience?

kidrobot @taropuff The last time that happened was not an item over $500, so posh Conceirge was not involved. However, I have pictures of every angle of the shoes I sold, which was brand new with no defects. When the buyer received it, she submitted a claim saying there are defects.

kidrobot @taropuff When I received the shoes back, there was an area of the shoe where the sole was detached from the top part with a gap. It wasn't there before. It appeared like the buyer purposely pulled the sole apart from the shoe. I was very upset that this could happen and poshmark accepted their claim to return the item. The photos from my listing shows the part of the shoe where this occurred and it seems they didn't do a thorough examination of the pictures.

kidrobot @taropuff When I resubmitted pictures from before and after, they didn't bother to respond to my email. I think it's been over a few weeks now and I still haven't heard back from them. I also just emailed them on Monday regarding whether someone can submit a claim even after poshmark conceirge has inspected and authenticated an item and they haven't gotten back to me yet. There's no phone number to call and I'm afraid to ship out the item before I hear back from them.

kidrobot @taropuff What I am afraid of is the same thing happening to my current sale. Even if I have pictures showing the condition of the item, they might still side with the buyer. That's what happened last time and now I have brand new, but damaged shoes. I guess it's good I have them back at least. 😭 I guess I will wait for their response. Thank you so much for your help! taropuff @kidrobot Wow, that is super shady for the buyer to return something back to you damaged! I'm guessing they didn't like the item and then, in order to cover the return, caused the damage to the shoes and made the false claim! That is terrible and I'm sure it'll be bad karma for that person. However, there isn't much PM can do about these things. That's why a buyer/seller market place without effective rating/review system for both buyers and sellers is challenging.

taropuff @kidrobot I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that when an item goes through concierge, they'll take note of its condition. I would also think that buyers willing to make larger purchases are less likely to be fraudulent.

taropuff @kidrobot It seems like lots of people are frustrated that PM doesn't have a phone number to call. You should definitely keep emailing them and also try reaching out via their facebook page or try tweeting them directly. Generally, companies don't like negative press on their social media pages. :)

kidrobot @taropuff Hi Angel! Just wanted to let you know that my transaction went well. 😊 I'm glad that everything went smoothly. However, when I finally heard back from poshmark conceirge, they told me that even though they inspect an item prior to it be sent to the buyer, if the buyer opens a claim and it's approved, the buyer will be shipping the item back to the seller, so I'm afraid that the same kind of thing could happen to items over $500, where the buyer damaged my item and sent it back.

You have me worried about buyers damaging my items, too now! 😳 I just sold an item that will go through concierge, but who knows what will happen from there.
