Made by Peter Etril Snyder, this is an ink sketch of a home made doll with tresses sitting on a wooden rocking chair. Mr. Etril was famed as a painter of Mennonite subjects and life around the Waterloo area in Ontario, Canada -one of his paintings was presented to Prince Philip as a gift of the Canadian government. The sketch was framed by the Anderson art store in London, Ontario, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1980 but sadly seems to have gone out of business since.
The sketch itself is 9 1/2" high by 7 1/2" wide while the size of the frame is 14 1/2" high by 12 1/4" wide.
