theposhfaerie Is there a temp this is guaranteed to cover?

trailtocity @theposhfaerie there’s no guaranteed temp with thinsulate but most blogs note “A pair of boots featuring 400 grams of insulation is good for cooler weather at low activity levels and can keep you warm in fairly cold weather if you are active while wearing them.” Some suggest temps, for eg. “a 400g winter boot will keep warm down to -20 degrees (F) and possibly lower.”

theposhfaerie @trailtocity are they light enough for hiking? I’m thinking of purchasing this for my trip to Iceland in December

trailtocity @theposhfaerie each boot weighs 565g. They are heavier than a regular hiking boot but also light weight for their class. I have worn them snowshoeing and winter hiking and didn’t notice their heaviness.

trailtocity @conniekillips is say generally true to size with a normal or thin sock but will be snug with a thicker sock. Hope that helps!
