– Jalisco region - Tonalá/Tlaquepaque Pair – Water Carrier (w/ clay water pots) & Woman With Basket – Handmade – Rare Set
Handmade - These traditional “campesino” style sculptures feature incredible craftsmanship, stiffened cloth clothing, hand-painted faces, wire-supported bodies, and original miniature clay ollas (water jugs).
Authentic Mexican folk art paper mâché.
Handmade in Jalisco (Tonalá / Tlaquepaque) – circa late 1970s.
Male water carrier with shoulder pole & hanging clay jugs.
Female figure holding a basket
Hand-painted details and hardened cloth clothing.
Mounted on original wood block bases with information plaque on the bottom
