Mexican Tonala Pottery Mugs - Set of 2 Extra Large Hand Made and Hand Painted

Marked "CAT Tonala Mexico 321", this is a pair of rustic pottery mugs. They are large, standing 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall, 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide, including the handle. Similar styles as these hold approximately 2 cups of liquid. The walls of the mug are .25 inches (4 cm) thick. They are heavy, with each one weighing 600 grams. The colors are a blend of blue (dark and light), pale green, grey, beige and the design is of plants and varies between the two. One has crazing on the bottom, but neither has chips or cracks. The finish of the pottery is a bit rough in places. These unique oversize mugs would be a great addition to a collection of Mexican pottery, especially Tonala.
