jodilai is the white stuff on the back paint?

selectedthreads @jodilai hi Jodi, thanks for your offer on this :) I just had a closer look at the back and mmmmaybe(?) it’s paint. I gave it a lil pressure with my fingernail and it didn’t fleck off at all. Seems like whatever it is has been there for decades and ~has become one~ with the vase. Possibly even imperfections in the original construction?

selectedthreads @jodilai Aside from the one larger patch in the photos there are some tiny dots on the back too, but they’re fairly unnoticeable aside from a close inspection. The front and sides are flawless ✨

jodilai @selectedthreads thanks for taking the time to answer the questions! I'm just a wee bit concerned because if I look close, I also see 2 small chips that weren't in the description, so I'm just hesitant!

selectedthreads @jodilai ah, I think I see what you mean. I just inspected the vase and there’s about a 1mm chip along the back edge of the sleeve. So small I didn’t notice while listing. I’ll be showing this in my vintage live show tonight if you want to pop by for a closer look :)
