Mid Century Roland Landerholm TENN Pewter Ceramic Necklace Vintage

This vintage pewter pendant was made by Swedish artist Roland Landerholm (1928-1993). Landerholm was originally a ceramicist and later began working with pewter; hence, many of his pieces--including this one--incorporate both pewter and ceramics. Landerholm was known to break his creations when dissatisfied with the outcome. Because of this the ceramic and pewter pendants are not as easily found as one might expect. The chain appears that it could be the original but unconfirmed. The pendant measures about 2" tall by 1-3/4" wide. Signed on the back R. Landerholm, and there is the TENN hallmark as well. The chain is 23" long. Excellent preloved condition. 1950-1970 Iconic Scandinavian.
