jolainewiens Your price would cost me more than buying it new from the website. How does this make sense? Not being insulting just genuinely curious. I know you’ve included taxes and duties, but you’re still selling on a second hand site. I also wouldn’t have to pay duties or shipping as I live on the border. It’s less than $800 new from the brand for me, all costs included.

lilacgurl @jolainewiens also it is not “less than $800” for you to purchase from their website. Shipping it Canada is $50. Also, not sure why you would be exempt from duties for living on the border as the bag is shipped from Italy, not the United States. 🤦🏻‍♀️

jolainewiens @lilacgurl I don’t think most people factor in shipping/duties when reselling. I don’t expect people to cover my costs when I’ve bought and item I never used. I for sure wouldn’t spend more than brand new from brand for a NWT item on Poshmark. I’m only saying your pricing doesn’t make sense to a consumer on Poshmark when we can buy new from the brand for less, and also have warranty. Competitive pricing is key to making a sale. jolainewiens @lilacgurl It is as I said. I did the entire check out process. There’s no shipping or duties. I can drive 15 minutes to pick it up in the U.S. and I have not been charged duties in many many years even at that amount coming across the border. Even if I did ship to Canada, your price still doesn’t make sense for a nwt item on a second hand site. Not to me anyway.

lilacgurl @jolainewiens Most people do consider the total cost of an item when listing. I’m not expecting ppl to cover duties/shipping, HENCE why my price is less than the amount paid. I considered duties/shipping in the OG price because it’s an unavoidable cost for anyone interested in buying from the site, you simply CAN’T buy it cheaper unless you ship somewhere where duties don’t apply, which most ppl don’t have the option to do.

lilacgurl @jolainewiens You can take the chance if you’d like 🤷🏻‍♀️ You would still be over the duties allowance and they would have to charge you duties if you were honest about the value of the goods. Especially in this tariff climate. Not everyone has the same option as you do.

jolainewiens @lilacgurl I go across the border every week, lying to a border guard is a federal offense which is a stupid risk for anyone to take, and I haven’t been charged duties or tariffs at all, in many years. It will be less money and with a warranty brand new from the brand. Best of luck.
