Like other watercolor paintings, I have focused on simplicity and the tension of spreading inky pigments on watery paper. On "Budding Peony", I took into consideration the balance between white space and subject, observing soft pale petals and a humble skinny stem. Size is 16" x 20". Retails for US$85 on website.
