lojarvis Actually, I wanted the measurement a little further back from the toe; what I would call the WIDEST part of the sole. Probably app. a half inch down from where the tape is placed now. I have bunions, so the joints on my big toes are a bit distorted. Hope that helps you. I appreciate your trouble. I just don't want to buy what might cause me pain to wear. I'm too old to put up with unnecessary pain. (lol)
