Authentic vintage 1970s/1980s tailored Mister Leonard by Len Wasser suit set. Although made in the 70s or 80s, the overall cut and style of design is very classic by having many timeless elements that are synonymous with a 1940s or 1950s aesthetic. A fabulous set that can be incredibly versatile and worn as separates. Skillfully crafted in a lightweight woven gorgeous peachy-pink 100% silk fabric that almost feels like a linen or cotton blend. There is minimal stretch and has a structured fit but will likely relax slightly when on as it is a natural fibre. The beautiful craftsmanship is evident in the construction with delicate pleat details on the shoulders and back yoke that features a hook loop. There is light padding in the shoulders that supports the structured silhouette. The coordinating pleated skirt is fully lined with a matching silk suit liner fabric and features a side button-up closure and has side seam pockets. It appears the previous owner may have relocated the original placement of the top button to modify the fit which could easily be moved over if needed. Size 10 vintage sizing - virtually immaculate and in excellent vintage condition with no damages or visible signs of wear which is quite impressive given the age. This is a timeless, quality-made silk suit that has many more decades to offer.
