These silver-toned French hook earrings feature dried pressed flowers arranged in a starburst pattern, applied to a white mother of pearl disc, and coated with a thin layer of resin. • 2" drop • 1.25" diameter pendant • White, green Mother-Of-Pearl is the iridescent nacre layer that forms on the inside of a shell. Mother-Of-Pearl is made up of brick-like layers of hexagonal platelets of aragonite. The iridescence or rainbow colors are caused by differential refraction of light waves off the aragonite layers. Note: Mother of Pearl is 3.5 on the Moh's hardness scale and so is easily scratched. Wipe it clean using a soft, dry cloth
