This historical play portrays the assassination of Archbishop Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral during the reign of Henry II in 1170. Eliot drew heavily on the writing of Edward Grim, a clerk who was an eyewitness to the event. It is one of his most well known works. This book is in quite good condition. There are wear and discoloration to the cover and spine. There is some foxing to the outer edges of the page block. The pages are very clean with only some yellowing and the odd smudge.
