It’s been quite some time since I have updated and shared my “About Me” so read on: My Treasures... My sweet, loving husband: he spoils me, he teases me, he is my biggest supporter; no matter what comes our way he's our rock. Both of us previously married, went through messy divorces. The fact we found each other is a miracle considering our backgrounds and where we’re from. My handsome, goofy son, Air Force serviceman & traveling the world, stationed overseas so we rarely get to see him. My determined, gorgeous daughter, Type 1 Diabetes FIGHTER, and soon to be graduate of the CIA with a degree in Culinary Science. Both my kids are making their contributions to this world and I couldn’t be more proud! Finally, the fur babies Opal (right) & Ruby (left), the most spoiled members of the family. They are sisters/same litter. Ruby was my mom’s & came to us after my mom passed away. They are 15 years old now and such sweet girls. I am so blessed❣ @shoe_enchantres • 2024

So, to make the "signs" I use photo collage apps & instead of inserting a picture I add text (some apps have features that allow you to add text to a photo & some do not). And I also have the emoji app on my phone that allows me to insert smiley faces, flowers, symbols, etc... Thank you for answering my question in the Lancôme listing in your closet. No real need to buy them, I usually do the free apps, but there have been a few times I've paid .99 or 1.99 to upgrade. I'm on Poshmark mostly to sell, but have purchased a couple unique items & your listing is one I couldn't pass up

shoe_enchantres @dsw thank you! It's been 8 weeks & she's adjusting well. Biggest hurdle has been diet; she has great healthcare team, one a dietician who has made huge impact. As this is late onset of Type 1 she is participating in a UCSF clinical study to see if her pancreas can be kick started to produce insulin again. So much progress made in research, it just makes sense to contribute whatever I can to help. I'd love to see the day when she no longer has to give herself injections.

shoe_enchantres @fusionunion my daughter was diagnosed earlier this year at 18... always healthy & a competitive figure skater, the illness was completely out of the blue. A tough adjustment at first & me a worried mom considering her plans for after high school involved moving to the east coast. She's doing well though do I'm proud of her. She's constantly reading about studies & trials and does indeed hope a cure happens during her lifetime. Thank you for your kind words 😊

My sister was diagnosed at 12 years old and she lived her whole life until she was 38 with it unfortunately she had many complications because she had a child her life was exactly like Steel Magnolias but if your daughter is healthy and she follows the Dr recommendations there's new stuff that comes out every year and I'm so happy they're making such advancement with such a horrible disease. Bless her young heart and I hope they find a cure as well ...

catscurios Thanks for the beautiful blouses! And for the lovely note and sharing your story. I’m sure everyone has advice, and here’s mine. Anything is possible. My husband was diagnosed with type II a few years ago and told he would be on insulin forever. He proved them wrong and was only on medication within a few months with diet and exercise. Anyway, God bless and thanks again. I hope to start my closet soon, if I can ever stop shopping!!!

I do indeed have a wonderful family - love them all to pieces❣️The Type 1 diagnosis last year really threw us for a loop; an abrupt lifestyle change for my daughter (at 18 yrs old) for sure & though there have been a few rough times she's done well. naturegirl66 The best thing I have found in all my 25 years of having Type 1 Diabetes is the Keto Diet that a friend and I who started it together 2 months ago. Since the I have gone down to using under half of my Insulin. I feel better and it has improved my vision a good bit. You should check into it for her. I recommend definitely doing your research on it to make an informed decision. It’s not for everyone so, you could check with her doctor and a nutritionist that knows about it. Hope all goes well! 🌸

shoe_enchantres @naturegirl66 off & on we've researched keto... the hardest part is my daughter has specific food likes & dislikes! I'm sure as she gets older she'll probably (🤞🏻) become a bit more adventurous with trying foods. Only 16 months of Type 1 under her/our belt & we're learning all the time. Advice from others is always welcome!
