Now that Tom is off scouting aliens lol, the shelter is my life, it’s a lot of work and extremely heartbreaking sometimes but in the end it’s sooo worth it! If people were actually born for a purpose then rescue is mine lol esp pitties, no joke I was born with a pit bull in my arms and have had at least 2 at a time since lbs. all dogs are great but pitties are a special kind of perfect ❤️. Thanks for looking! Imma have to come see yours too! 😁😁

ptjaymebales @blink1822 Much to the surprise of the vet, he is! We changed his diet to the premium quality instinct freeze dried raw plus gluten/soy/wheat free food, starting him on 2x daily strong doses of CBD and the vet put him on prednisone. You wouldn’t even know he’s sick, everything that is symptom related could easily be attributed to any dog his age. ❤️

When I worked at Petsmart in Matteson they were there often and I ended up rescuing a mastif/pit mix they were going to have to put down because of his medical needs. Chuck Norris Jr. Best dog ever, but he passed a few years ago.

blink1822 @ptjaymebales so happy to hear that your baby is doing good! :-) yes very familiar with CBB rescue, there really is alot of help for these pups ( which happen to be my heart and soul :-) ) but there is also a real lot of greedy, uneducated assholes that dont gf and over breed them for money for jerk offs who fight em alot out this way and they never have a chance, its really heartbreaking

afenismama @blink1822 no, she regained partial vision. I got Stevie from a crappy neighbor with a colony that has unfixed cats and feline herpes, a whole nother story😬. Stevie had bulging eyes with pus dripping down her face when I took her. Eye ulcers from URI and was left to suffer in her yard. I was LIVID. A mos later she regained partial vision and I just kept her. No issues.

oiseaurebelle @blink1822 Hi! Was browsing your closet and just had to say that you're awesome! I love all dogs, but some of the most gentle dogs I have ever met were pitties. I live in NY and while the attitude toward pits does seem to be changing thanks to groups like NY Bully Crew, there are still those assholes who fight them or breed them for quick money. So a lot of work to be done, but I also see more happy, healthy rescue pits being walked in my neighborhood all the time, Keep up the good work! :)
