1. Is there a hole in the tong? 2 can you tell me what the date says on the inside? and 3. do the dates match?

@joeydepalmer65 These boots are de-militarized hence the holes in the tongues. Regarding the inside numbers, both boots have the same sets of numbers: 1200. 9 91/2F 6603. I’m unsure as to a “date”.

@joeydepalmer65 These are very small holes, hardly noticeable. One small hole in each tongue.

i know why the hole is there, I was just making sure it was. and the date is marked inside on each sole

I also know that these are NOT Mk2 boots but Mk4s, the last of this type before we went to the newer mickey mouse combat boots

@joeydepalmer65 You are right, I had to go ‘down the rabbit hole’ to find these. Pics added.
STC 9-91/2 F 2000 embossed into the leather insole.

these must have been part of the last lot that came into stores, in this condition and the dates readable

@joeydepalmer65 In person, the stamps are clear and crisp, not blurred as in my photos. I couldn’t focus at all!🤣

as long as I have been working stores in the military, i have always had trouble checking the dates. your pics are the best

they where the last pair design of this type. the mark 2s were the first (with the little exception of the lace holes) and these where the last. they went with the (than new) cadpats when the powers at be did not like the cadpat coloured boots. they did not see much use with the old combat uniforms
