How is this 170 when they are 140 brand new?

@brittanywell490 on the Patagonia website they are $149 + $19 shipping = $168. In outdoor stores where I live (St John's, NL), they are $149 + 15% tax = $171.35.
I offered all likers $153 + $9.99 shipping. I would only make $118.90 off that due to Poshmark's cut. Anyways, I would rather lose $ on this and have someone wear it and love it so I am open to offers/negotiations :)
