NEW vintage cocktail ring ruby & diamond The most noticeable quality is that it is a slightly modern version of art deco: rectangular shapes, architectural deep gallery (repeating lines like columns or rays), split channel band, and the halo setting. Emerald cut ruby (c. 5x6 mm) in 4 prong setting. Rectangular Halo of 14 diamonds (8x c. 1.5 mm, 6x c. almost 2 mm) held by 14 prongs that make up the tall gallery (5 mm). High profile (c. 9 mm) Cathedral ring with Split shank with channel around most of the outside band (c. 1-2 mm wide x almost 1 to just over 1 mm). NEW. C. 1980s-1990s. Original manufacturer’s tag still attached. Size 5. No hallmarks. Probably gold plated with synthetic gems. Red rubies are July’s birthstone.
