The Melissa equestrian-inspired tall boots are made from hard-wearing vintage leather in a pull-on design. Contoured through the ankle for support and the most flattering shape, they have a newly updated Frye signature button detail that sits just below the modernized top line providing a tailored look. Slight heel with leather soles. samaranerman Do you have proof of purchase by chance? Just to authenticate that they were bought at a reputable Frye dealer. So many knock offs out there and near impossible to determine leather quality from a picture.

ilys_apparel @samaranerman hi, unfortunately no I do not have the receipt. I got them from The Bay, and I 100% guarantee that they are authentic Frye. I can send more photos of the boots if you like, also of the box if that helps. Poshmark also covers you - they will refund you if the item is not authentic. I had to dispute a knockoff once and got refunded no problems. Hope this helps.

ilys_apparel @samaranerman Posh asks for photos and a written explanation. At the bottom of the listing there’s a banner “Posh Protect-Buyer Protection Policy”. samaranerman @ilys_apparel thanks! I’m just waiting for an 8 to come from Frye so I can make sure the size is good. There’s no where that sells Frye where I am so this is the only way to know.

samaranerman Are you sure these are the Melissa button and not the double sole lug? The pull tabs on the outside and the sole look like the lug boots. Those are the ones I’m looking for. The 8 in the button don’t fit. They’re much wider than the Melissa double sole lug.

ilys_apparel @samaranerman hi yes these are the original Melissa button. The button 2 is the boot you’re currently seeing on the Frye website, as well as the button lug. I took a photo of the box label today, you’ll see the name and the style # matching the inside of the boot. I believe these boots run small, I can post measurements tomorrow if you want.

samaranerman @ilys_apparel thanks that would be great. I just sent back a pair of the button ones from Frye in an 8. They were quite big. Did t seem to fit anything like the button lug. Makes buying online so difficult when all the boots fit so differently
